#5DayWeekandFairPLI

[All India Bank Officers' Confederation (AIBOC) @aiboc_in]

India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.

At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.

Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.

A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.

Rather than promoting unity, the DFS directive enlarges the rift in the workforce by prioritizing certain ranks. #5DayWeekandFairPLI #AIBOC @PMOIndia

A rested workforce serves the public better. With staff shortages and rising stress, 5-day banking is a service-quality issue, not a “perk.” UFBU has pursued this since 2015; IBA has recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and it’s included in the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024), pending clearances.
Let’s finish what’s already agreed.

A 5-day banking week promotes mental health and reduces burnout among employees! Let's prioritize well-being! #Implement5DayBanking https://t.co/X8SdMgvFAq

Let’s move towards modern banking with a 5-day week. It’s time to align our banking hours with global standards. #5DayBankingNow https://t.co/I3k823dz81

Govt/DFS: enough of “under consideration”. Honour the 8-3-2024 Settlement on #5DayBanking. Bankers are battling understaffing, extreme pressure & mental stress, yet face discrimination vs RBI/LIC/GIC. We will mobilise until justice is delivered. #5DayBankingNow
