The post-mortem said drowning. The police said murder. The family said murder. The FIR says murder.

SP kept saying gangrape anyway. Because gangrape is a bigger story. Because it lands harder on social media.

Because it generates the kind of visceral outrage that gets shared and amplifies caste anger faster.

In doing this, SP did something that they will never acknowledge. They imposed a more violent version of this girl's death onto her story, without evidence, because it was more useful to them politically.

Her father knows what happened to his daughter. SP decided they knew better and broadcast their version anyway.

This is what it looks like when a political party treats a victim as raw material. You shape her story to fit your needs. You don't ask permission. You definitely don't let the facts get in the way.
