the problem is not with worshipping foreign talent, the problem is with not respecting, supporting, nurturing and valuing our own talent. it is so dis-heartening to see our legend footballer Sunil chhetri who gave his whole career in keeping football relevant in india standing in a Messi jersey, looking less like an equal and more like a bystander in his own country.
wouldn't he have stood there and thought why he or his team mates were never given the same accolades and appreciation a foreign sportsman is getting?
perhaps the Mumbai crowd sensed this and cheered for him and that's when he looked back and thanked the crowd 🥹. we are a country that makes statues of foreign players but forgets to pat the back of our own heroes.
@ayushi_pal06 Not always!
Readable code is for humans; optimized code is for machines.
Sometimes they align, but often, highly optimized code is full of hacks or low-level tricks that hurt readability.
In production, clear and maintainable usually beats clever but cryptic.
The more time you spend in industry, the more you get to know that a good production code is often not the best optimised code rather a good readable code.
Microsoft has open-sourced Copilot and WSL — just days after laying off around 3% of its global workforce. It's interesting to watch where the AI market is headed.
