Bank Jobs: Why Are Young People Walking Away?
Once, a bank job was a dream. Today, many selected candidates don't even join.
The reasons are visible:
• No meaningful work-life balance
• Transfers that disrupt families and children's education
• Favouritism over fairness
• Excessive pressure for third-party product sales
• Staff shortages, but employees diverted for non-core activities
• Endless reviews, targets, and compliance burden
• Merit often taking a back seat to proximity and influence
The irony?
Many Central Government employees enjoy a 5-day work week.
Several State Government jobs offer state-cadre stability.
Many private sector professionals, including those in companies like Tata, often spend most of their careers in one city.
But in banking, employees can be transferred across the country repeatedly while simultaneously being asked to deliver more with fewer people.
When hundreds of selected candidates choose not to join, it is not a recruitment issue.
It is a reflection of how the profession is being perceived.
Instead of asking why candidates are not joining, DFS and bank executives may need to ask a tougher question:
Why is a job once considered a privilege now being declined by the very people who worked hard to secure it?
The answer may be more uncomfortable than the statistics.

What's happening in this country, @nitin_gadkari ji?
You are introducing some fancy mix of fuel every day without any ecosystem support?
Why is there no buy in from insurance companies or manufacturers?
Use of E20 can lead to claims rejection. I don't want to use E20. Do I have a choice at the fuel station?
Why are we being taken for a ride?
This is the dead body of an Indian sailor, killed by the US Navy 4 days ago.
Forget condemnation. There wasn't even a condolence from the PM. Forget condolences. The Govt couldn't even bring his body home. It lies decomposing in a polythene bag.
No dignity when alive. No dignity in death.
Compromised PM
Living in 100% Amrit Kaal,
driving 80% ethanol cars,
breathing 60% polluted air,
drinking 40% adulterated milk,
in an education system with 20% credibility,
to get killed with 0% dignity, by USA missiles, by mob lynchings, by a badly made bridge or a pothole, or just a stampede.
🚨 NORTH KOREA GLIMPSE INDIAN PARLIAMENT!
The "Modi... Modi... Modi..." chants don't happen by Magic.
A CIRCULAR was issued:
"Wherever you are, Whatever you do — show up & chant Modi... Modi... Modi...!!!"
This is a Manufactured Personality Cult — Straight Out of North Korea's Playbook.
Parliament Reduced To A Supreme Leader Worship Session❓

All this drama of going to 5 foreign countries every month to bring "business" is plain stupid.
Solve basics things, like:-
1) No dogs/animals on roads
2) Proper garbage collection
3) Easy availability of taxis (& fair pricing)
This itself boosts tourism by 15-20% especially foreign tourists. And, helps bring foreign $ (which we desperately need now).
Best part: the budget for 1 foreign visit can be used to solve all above issues in places like Goa.
We won't do it. Because we are "talk" economy.
Not an action economy.
It is common sense to pick low hanging fruits first.
But, who cares about common sense.
US Embassy in New Delhi launched the "Freedom 250" campaign to celebrate America's 250th anniversary in New Delhi. They paid auto-rickshaw drivers to put posters that featured US Flag and Donald Trump on their vehicles.
Now, auto drivers are removing these posters in protest after USA killed Indian sailors.
India should have demanded – and received – an unconditional apology for the killing of three young Indian sailors in an American military strike.
Instead, Secretary Rubio reportedly chose to issue a warning, declaring that failure to comply with the orders of the U.S. military “will not be tolerated.” That is the language of command, not contrition.
There was no acknowledgement of the lives lost, no acceptance of responsibility, and no apology.
What makes the episode even more embarrassing was New Delhi’s response. Rather than calling the strike what it was, the External Affairs Minister merely observed that lethal actions against commercial shipping are “not justified.”
“Not justified”? That is the phrase you use for an overpriced airport sandwich, not for a military strike that kills civilians.
The appropriate words for America's actions are: illegal, reckless, and unacceptable. Instead, we got the kind of carefully sterilised euphemism that manages to offend no one – except the families of the dead.
Breaking down US statement, that marks an escalation over the issue of 3 Indian seafarers being killed by US Navy, here's what it says:
1. Vessels must comply with US orders (Why?)
2. US forces are seeking to uphold peace and security( By shooting unarmed ships?)
3. In the Strait (But US ships are in the Gulf of Oman)
4. Violations of US Blockade ( which have been many)
5. Illicit transport of Iranian oil (Not according to international law, and US sanctions are only punitive economically)
6. Won't be tolerated (Regardless of loss of lives, or contravening international law)
Awaiting MEA response.

GD BAKSHI EXPOSES DOORMAT DIPLOMACY 🔥
We soldiers are full of anger. INDIAN LIVES MATTER.
America says it didn’t know Indians were onboard? Don’t lie.
Every ship has AIS. One click tells you the flag, call sign, captain and crew.
Did America attack any Russian ship? Any Chinese ship? No. Because they know the reaction.
If you want to act like a doormat, people will treat you like a doormat.
Deeply shocking to read this official US statement, which contains absolutely no expression of regret or condolence for the loss of innocent Indian lives. How can a “friend” and strategic partner be so deeply insensitive?
Why couldn’t a non-compliant commercial vessel have been stopped using other, non-lethal means? Is it not possible to disable a ship's propulsion or steering without firing missiles targeted to kill civilian crew members?
Practically every merchant ship navigating these crucial waters has Indian crew on board. Are they all considered fair game for US missiles now?
This approach is unacceptable and I hope @DrSJaishankar had said so to @marcorubio.
"ladki hun, tujhe fasa dungi!" Shocking arrogance by a Haryana postwoman in Dharchula, Uttarakhand. No PARCELS delivered for months. When villagers complained, she & her male colleague THREATENED and ABUSED them. @IndiaPostOffice suspend thm fr this GUNDA behaviour immediately!
