We, four families, had booked this resort for an outing on 5th July. We reached around 4:30 PM. After tea, we went for boating. My mother, aunt, a friend, and two small children (aged 1 and 3 years) boarded a motorboat. Shortly after the boat started—just 100–150 meters into the lake—it began to rain, and the boat completely capsized. Everyone fell into the lake.
No one from the resort came to help. There were no safety precautions, no lifeguards, no emergency services—nothing. The boat driver ran away. Somehow, we managed to save the two small children. But tragically, my mother and aunt lost their lives.
Even after the accident, the resort did not provide any emergency support—no ambulance, no transportation, no medical assistance. We were left to handle everything on our own, in shock and grief.
Two families are now completely shattered. This trauma will haunt us forever.
My only request to the @TelanganaGovernment is: Please ban this resort. They had no checks, no proper life jackets, no trained staff, and absolutely no regard for human life. They even operate floating rooms on the same lake, putting more people at risk.
I don’t know who owns this resort—but I ask: Would they be willing to let their own family go through what we have experienced?
Ban Wilderness Campsite Resort. Stop it from taking more innocent lives.
