Another positive pipeline update for $NVO. FRONTIER5 showed denecimig was well tolerated after a direct switch from emicizumab, with no washout or loading dose. 96.6% preferred the pen. Novo keeps building beyond GLP-1. #haemophiliaA#denecimig
JUST IN: The $NVO story is getting broader. 44 EASD presentations covering Wegovy pill, CagriSema, zenagamtide, diabetes, cardiovascular, kidney and liver disease. This is much more than a weight-loss company.
$NVO CEO Mike Doustdar is urging employees to become more customer-focused as Novo tries to regain ground in the obesity market.
Speaking at Novo’s global town hall, Mike Doustdar said the company wants to become “a better and a bigger company” that does more for both patients and consumers.
The cultural shift, called “The Novo Way,” is built around four principles:
• Customer obsession
• Competitiveness
• Clarity
• Care & integrity
The shift reflects how obesity has changed Novo’s market. Unlike the more traditional diabetes market, obesity is increasingly consumer-driven, requiring Novo to engage more directly with the people using its medicines.

$NVO CEO Mike Doustdar gave another wide-ranging interview with CNBC ahead of Capital Markets Day.
A few comments stood out.
Mike Doustdar said the obesity market has changed Novo’s operating environment significantly. Unlike the more stable diabetes market, obesity increasingly behaves like a consumer market, where people come on and off treatment and many do not even see themselves as patients. Novo therefore needs to meet consumers where they are rather than expecting them to fit into the traditional pharmaceutical model.
He acknowledged that Novo needs to improve across the entire business, from research and development to manufacturing, sales and marketing, with greater speed and clearer priorities.
On the Wegovy pill, he said Novo continues to hold the “lion’s share” of the oral market and highlighted efficacy, the established semaglutide safety profile and fewer drug-to-drug interaction concerns as advantages.
He specifically pointed to oral contraceptives, noting that around 65% of GLP-1 users are women and arguing that $LLY ’s competing pill creates an additional consideration for women using oral birth control.
Mike Doustdar also sounded positive on the new Medicare obesity coverage. Early data suggest more eligible patients are successfully accessing treatment than Novo initially expected, which he said could represent “a decent upside” if the trend continues.
Employer coverage remains another opportunity. Mike Doustdar argued that employers need to start viewing obesity treatment as an investment rather than a cost, as successful treatment could reduce sick days, medication use and costs associated with other obesity-related conditions.
On the recent STEP Young results, he argued that treating obesity earlier could potentially prevent children from carrying the disease and its consequences into adulthood.
And despite Novo’s recent setbacks and lost market share, his message to investors was clear:
“The future is incredibly bright for Novo Nordisk.”
More details on Novo’s strategy will come at Capital Markets Day on September 21.

$NVO is entering a new chapter. “Novo” is more than a rebrand: The Novo Way puts customer obsession, competitiveness, clarity and speed at the core. If management turns this cultural reset into faster execution, today could mark a real strategic inflection point.
$NVO is starting to feel different.
Sept 15: employees hear about the “next chapter.”
Sept 21: investors get Capital Markets Day.
Sharper strategy. Faster execution. Bigger ambition.
This may be more than a reorg.
Novo is on the move.
Wegovy HD saw 15.7% increase to about TRx 22k in the newest IQVIA data.
While absolute numbers are still in the lower end, it keeps increasing week by week.
22k means above $450 million run rate. And with these week by week increases HD starts to get meaningful impact at NVO revenue.
Wegovy HD should launch here in Q3 in the first EU countries.

The fight is far from over. With Capital Markets Day on Sept. 21, Novo is sharpening strategy, expanding the pipeline and rebuilding momentum. Execution now matters most—but the pieces are starting to move. $NVO looks increasingly ready to climb again. $LLY
The oral GLP-1 battle is becoming one-sided.
In the U.S., Wegovy pill now represents ca 80%+ of combined weekly TRx vs Foundayo.
And across its launch markets, Novo says Wegovy pill has captured around 90% of the oral obesity market.
The gap is widening every week. $NVO $LLY
@JennaShawVCM61Z@tristan_755 Novo has been building new factories and improving automation and the supply chain, which has led to lower costs per product. AI also plays a major role in making production better and more efficient. The result is faster delivery throughout the entire supply chain.
Novo Nordisk has more than doubled revenue since 2021, while its forward P/E has fallen to ~13x.
A bigger business. A cheaper valuation. Lower expectations.
If growth stabilizes, that combination could offer meaningful and interesting upside. $NVO
Very interesting $NVO CEO interview. The bullish takeaway: management clearly understands what went wrong. Novo sold “Beyond Weight” while the market wanted maximum weight loss. Now the focus is sharper: efficacy, oral obesity, faster R&D and better execution.
$NVO ’s Wegovy has been approved in China for the treatment of MASH, becoming the first GLP-1 receptor agonist approved for the liver disease in the country.
The approval further expands Wegovy beyond weight management and cardiovascular health into liver disease, strengthening Novo’s efforts to establish semaglutide as a treatment across multiple obesity-related complications.

WEGOVY PILL IS BECOMING A MONSTER BLOCKBUSTER AND THE MARKET MAY STILL BE UNDERESTIMATING IT 🚀🚀🚀
What will Mike Doustdar tell investors at Novo Nordisk’s Capital Markets Day in London?
My bet: Wegovy pill will have passed 7 million prescriptions. In the US alone.
Novo had already surpassed 5 million prescriptions after roughly 30 weeks and reported 267,000 weekly prescriptions. The IQVIA numbers the market follows every week do not capture the full volume, including parts of the self-pay channel.
If the current trajectory continues, my estimate points to:
~7M prescriptions by CMD
~12M prescriptions in 2026
US ALONE.
And that is before Europe really starts contributing.
If Mike confirms ~7M at CMD, Wegovy pill is no longer just a strong launch.
It is on its way to becoming a monster blockbuster.

$NVO CEO Mike Doustdar gave a wide-ranging interview with Yahoo Finance on Novo’s lost market share, Oral Wegovy and where he sees GLP-1s heading next.
Mike Doustdar openly acknowledged that losing market share to $LLY has been difficult. He believes Lilly benefited from coming second to market with greater weight loss, while Novo initially focused too heavily on the broader health benefits of Wegovy.
Novo is now trying to fight back through better execution, higher-dose Wegovy and Oral Wegovy. Mike Doustdar highlighted that the Wegovy pill has reached 5 million prescriptions within six months and said it currently captures 9 out of 10 patients choosing an oral obesity treatment.
But perhaps the most interesting part was his view of where GLP-1s could be in five years.
Mike Doustdar believes their role will be “much bigger than we think today.” He pointed not only to obesity and diabetes but also to potential effects across cardiovascular, kidney and liver disease, while mentioning emerging observations around inflammation, alcohol use, fertility and other conditions.
He also expects the market to become much more differentiated. Rather than treating every GLP-1 as essentially the same, he believes physicians and patients will increasingly understand that different molecules and combinations may offer different benefits.
That is also where Novo’s pipeline is heading, with combinations involving GLP-1, amylin, GIP and other biological pathways.
His broader message was that speed is a competitive advantage, but clarity matters even more. Novo knows it lost ground. The focus now is on executing better today while building the next generation of treatments for the decades ahead.

I think AlphaValue may be too conservative on 2027 EPS. Their 23.1 DKK estimate is already among the most bullish, but if oral Wegovy keeps scaling, pricing stabilizes and execution improves, Novo could exceed that, making 466 DKK look less aggressive than it seems today. $NVO

🇩🇪 TODAY EUROPE’S REAL TEST OF THE WEGOVY PILL BEGINS
Today, September 1, Novo Nordisk launches the Wegovy pill in Germany.
Germany will give us the first real indication of how big the European opportunity for the Wegovy pill could become in 2027.
The distribution model is straightforward. Wegovy tablets enter the normal German pharmaceutical distribution system and can be prescribed from today and dispensed through pharmacies.
Novo has stated that it supplied the distribution chain ahead of launch.
German patients generally have to pay themselves.
Obesity medicines such as Wegovy are currently excluded from reimbursement by Germany’s statutory health insurance system.
That makes Germany an extremely interesting test market.
My own base-case model for September–December is:
September: 20,000 new patients
October: 25,000
November: 30,000
December: 35,000
That would put Germany at roughly 110,000 Wegovy pill patient starts by year-end and approximately 250,000 monthly packs sold during the four-month period.
After adjusting the German retail prices for VAT and distribution margins, my estimate is roughly €35–40M in revenue to Novo during the remainder of 2026.
My range:
Bear case: €20–25M
Base case: €35–40M
Strong launch: €60–65M
But frankly, the €40M is almost irrelevant to my investment case.
The real value of Germany is what it could tell us about 2027.
We already know that oral Wegovy can create demand rather than simply cannibalise injections.
Novo reported that the pill surpassed 3 million US prescriptions in just over five months, with more than 80% of new prescriptions going to people who were new to GLP-1 therapy.
By July, Novo reported weekly US prescriptions above 265,000.
That is important.
It suggests that removing the injection barrier can actually expand the obesity market.
Now Germany gives us the opportunity to test whether the same phenomenon happens in Europe.
If Germany reaches 100,000+ patient starts before year-end under those conditions, I would consider that a very strong launch.
And then comes 2027.
I expect Novo to roll the Wegovy pill out much more broadly across Europe during 2027. Germany therefore becomes the first useful benchmark for estimating what France, Italy, Spain, the Nordics and other European markets could eventually contribute.
Even relatively modest penetration across the major European obesity markets could turn the pill into a significant additional growth engine.
I believe that Novo's global market share will quietly approach 50% during 2027, helped by the pill and 7.2 mg and CagriSema.
