It’s Showtime! Here’s @SalfordChoral currently performing a post penalty shoot out celebration of hits from the musicals (tbh, the concert was planned long before the football!) 🎶 ⚽️ 🎶
A very special concert with @SalfordChoral tonight - super music making, members singing solos and a large and supportive audience - so good to see so many people attending for the first time!
Thanks for my flowers - please can it become a thing for men to receive them?!?
Not related to each other, but how wonderful to see a week in which a philistine government is thrown out, and we are given (yes, cautiously) a reason for hope, and the saving of a cherished theatre in the north!

Labour councils have run out of money.
Conservative councils have run out of money.
The main underlying reason?
National government’s disrespect for local government and failure to fund it.
It’s gone on for decades under all parties but has hit new levels in the last one.
The end of a super season with @SalfordChoral packed with musical adventures a-plenty. Special thanks to our choir members who sang solos tonight and to the amazing Roderick Barrand at the piano.
Looking forward to getting stuck into some Rossini and Palestrina in September!
A wonderful evening - many thanks to our supportive audience.
A summer break for us now, but we’re back in September to start work on Rossini’s ‘Petite Messe Solenelle’
