That’s how we maneuver though life, especially dating. We don’t want something to catch up to us so we are doing what we can to avoid it.
STOP RUNNING FROM SINGLENESS.
Run towards purpose! Towards God!

You can either be running FROM something or TOWARDS something.
When you are running from something, your pace is dependent upon outside factors. Your decisions are all about out running what’s “chasing you”. You make turns just so you can avoid it.
You never pause because you don’t want to get caught.
When you are running towards something, your pace can be set internally, and you can make decisions on when you pause. When you make a turn, it’s in a forward direction, aiming somewhere.
We are running FROM singleness.
Ever been chased by a dog or or something? You do what you can to get away from that thing that’s chasing you. Fight or flight kicks in and you are just trying to survive.
How often do you continue to talk to someone, not because you genuinely enjoy their company, but because you DONT WANT to be alone and something is better than nothing?
How many times have you said yes to that date, not because you want to get to know that person, but because you DONT WANT to miss out on your potential partner?
How often have your dating decisions been based on what you don’t want rather that what you do want? How often have you chosen to stay in a relationship, not because you want that person, but because you DONT WANT singleness?
We want God to change our life, but we don’t want to DO, BE OR ACT different.
If Gods gonna change our lives, then subsequently, our life is going to start to look different.
Don’t stop what you have been praying for by refusing to change.
It’s okay to not be the old you.
Make your relationship with God #1 no matter what! He will take care of, or help you take care of, everything else:
Mental health, financial situations, relationships, future goals, emotional healing, etc #Godfirst
