In this clip from our last concert, David Allinson conducts us in โAd te clamamusโ by Christopher Tye. ๐ฅ
Tye uses fabulously expressive rising and falling phrase shapes to evoke the cries of the โvale of tearsโ, ๐ข making this short and emotive piece a joy for us to sing.
Thank you @sarah_latto for an excellent open workshop on the Renaissance polyphony of Latin America.
An inspiring journey through complex history and music in multiple languages that made us all better singers.

Last night's concert was inspired by the monastic tradition of compline, sung after dusk and before retiring to bed. David Allinson conducted us in chant and polyphony that sought comfort against the night, pleaded for protection, and reached a solemn acceptance of finality.
