They went through a phase of eating each other a lot, but now seem to be getting more peaceful. I noticed a connection from a 'pain' sensory neuron to the 'bite' motor neuron, so perhaps emergent self-defence made predation a less attractive strategy.
Orbit Wars is a competition to build an AI agent for a strategy game. My entry (which I call 'Ender') is provisionally in the top 10 out of 4730 teams. Submissions are closed and games will run for 2 more weeks. If I remain in the top 10 at the end, I will win a $5000 prize!
Ender is a reinforcement learning solution, trained purely using self-play and leagues made of my own past checkpoints. I never used the daily episode datasets. I never trained against any public agents. I used separate models for 2-player and 4-player game modes.
@ItakGol The problem here is probably that stupidly obvious questions are out of distribution. There's no one dumb enough to ask this kind of thing, so it's not in the data.
In all universes in which you exist, you are now a millionaire. Infinity is infinity, after all.
As a bonus, the rest of us have far fewer many worlds believers to deal with.
If you believe the many worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics, why not use it to become a millionaire?
All the believers put their life savings in a pot, and set up a quantum roulette wheel using diffraction.
The winner takes all and everyone else is instantly vaporised.
I wish I knew the motivation. Are they trying to scrape as much of my data as they can? Are they trying to cost me money? Or take Squeno down?
My best theory is that it's just a solo "hacker" alleviating their boredom.
For the past few days, my app Squeno has been subject to its first cyber attack.
A Chinanet IP address has been hammering one of my API endpoints with millions of requests.
My question is why? Why bother attacking a little guy like me?
What convinced me this was malicious?
The requests were being sent with a variety of user agent strings, spoofing different OSs and browsers to try and look like they came from different users - but all from the same IP, to the same endpoint.
If there was an alien civilization just like us, living on a planet orbiting our closest neighbour Alpha Centauri, we would not detect it.
Fermi's so-called "paradox" is a joke.
