@EMHMarkIVOY - forced to overcompensate in balance as he tried to regain it. He doesn't notice the noise, though, over nonsense muttering. Hell, he doesn't even notice the effects until he's nearly flat on the ground.
Racter still had trouble trusting Starfleet. But, unfortunately, he's stuck on Voyager for the time being. And when his cybernetic legs are acting up, he has no choice but to go to @EMHMarkIVOY , because fuck going to Engineering. He's willing to trust a hologram more than flesh.
@EMHMarkIVOY Racter took a step with his left: fine.
Racter took a step with his right: not so fine.
There was indeed function regained in the leg but not quite enough; as he goes to shift weight onto his right, there's a muffled noise - a snap, shift, *something* - and then his left is -
@SevenOfNine79_ "Well."
He lights a cigarette, takes a drag.
"I quite enjoy just about everything that you just described. Except for this whole... collective hivemind idea."
@princedadta Racter's in some sort of shaded corner - the only indication that he's there is the smell of smoke and a tiny ember. He smiles in the dark, and finally speaks.
@EMHMarkIVOY "Then how about the Federation-Cardassian treaty? Soltok IV? Volan III?"
He stopped his response to flex the foot and claws again. They moved a bit slowly - but the fact they moved at all was a miracle.
"Yes." he muttered, hopping off the table to take a few steps.
🤖 // While Racter may not understand or feel human emotions, he does feel them on some level. Most of the time he channels these feelings into Koschei, but in some instances, traces of emotions still linger on his aura.
@EMHMarkIVOY "And then abandoning the same people after they get what they wanted?"
The comment was followed by a moment of silence, then a loud *click* as the claws on his right foot stiffened. He takes a moment to flex the claws, and hummed a satisfied hum.
{"At least Starfleet has -
@EMHMarkIVOY "Chosen to be in Starfleet?"
Racter's comment was followed by a "pah". There wasn't a single thing that he could see that would make Starfleet something worth joining.
"I personally find it hard to believe."
@EMHMarkIVOY - feet.
"I had been... exploring Voyager's lower decks when my right leg began to stiffen. Ran self-diagnostics and it seems that calibration between my brain and the implants that control my legs has gone astray. Unfortunately I lack the tools I need to repair this -
@EMHMarkIVOY Racter would eye the hologram up and down, before sighing.
"You've got experience in repairing advanced cybernetics, yes?"
As he steps, it's obvious he's doing so with a stiff limp.
