Unnamed Belarusian opposition journalists were said to be the source. According to the report, Belarus special forces were boarding planes on Feb. 27, preparing for deployment in or near Kyiv and Zhytomyr. https://t.co/iWkSsQEnIW
⚡️Foreign minister: Putin's nuclear threat is an attempt to put pressure on Ukraine ahead of the negotiations with Russia.
Putin's order came shortly after it was announced that the two delegations were ready to meet, Dmytro Kuleba said.
"We will not succumb to this pressure."
@caminosaseguir Many can't work legally and many are limited to minimum wage on-campus jobs. There are emergency immigration measures an Administration can enact to allow work, but I'm pretty doubtful they're going to do that for Russians (Ukrainians though, might be a different story).
@CindyPerry6 That's not going to cover tuition by any means & schools can't issue an I-20 without proof of financial means. It probably means the end of their US education for many. A lot of these students are from middle-class families and hate Putin as much as the rest of us. Not good IMHO.
My doctor and I were discussing my anxiety and she said "Brains are made to keep us alive. They're not made to keep us happy." And I can't stop thinking about that.
Maybe you’ve heard that vaccinated people can still get omicron & wonder what’s the point. See this Moderna data:
2 shots: 30% VE vs infection
3 shots: 62.5% VE vs infection
62.5% is substantial protection against infection. Get vaccinated, get boosted.

IDK about you, but what “created concern” omicron could spread in hospitals *for me* was Monday’s announcement US healthcare workers should return to work in 5 days, ending isolation early despite many still being infectious.
But what do I know, I’m just an epidemiologist.
Did you know that Omicron is an estimated 51% more severe (risk of hospitalisation) than the original ‘wild type’ strain?
Risk of hospitalisation with Omicron reduced 41% vs Delta.
But Delta vs Alpha increased risk 52%. And Alpha vs wild type increased risk 62%.
= Net +51%
One of the most unpleasant aspects of the pandemic has been the weaponisation of mental health issues by people who previously never gave them a second thought.
