You refuse to stand up for the rights of girls and women in your constituency and reduce it to this? Happy for a woman to be punched by a man in a boxing ring? But Harry Potter gets your attention. Hilarious stuff. Also noted that you always turn comments off, which I think is a poor decision for an elected MP.
@zarahsultana is my daughter’s MP and doesn’t care for my daughter’s rights over males, particularly in sport. No male should be in female sports. The very least that should be supported by the government is biological reality and my daughter and all women are being let down by your hero here.
She doesn’t even stand up for my daughter’s rights in her own constituency, so I fail to see how why she should be trusted on anything more important than basic, fundamental biology.
Yet you don’t know which side you are on when it comes to biological basics of girls and boys? How can anyone believe anything you say if you don’t seem to understand that boys and men shouldn’t be in girls and women’s sports in your own constituency?
Shocking but unsurprising to see two Labour MPs in front attempt to shout me down — for standing up for disabled people hit by cuts, kids pushed into poverty by the two-child benefit cap & pensioners who lost winter fuel payments.
I know whose side I’m on. Can they say the same?
@HJoyceGender is an absolute warrior for girls and women’s rights. She describes the issues clearly, succinctly and accurately and absolutely everything she puts out is hugely beneficial to the cause.
Here’s a short clip of @HJoyceGender
Very, very clear and cogent.
At one point Nuala used ‘he’ for Robin White - it proves how natural accurate language is the default, even after years of training not to use it.
My father is an immigrant. My grandparents on my mother’s side were immigrants. My wife is an immigrant. They came to this country for a better life and opportunities which the UK provided them all. They achieved that at least partly by making effort to integrate and live(d) their lives pursuing British values and contributing to British society. I suspect that the push back you mention is against immigrants that refuse to integrate and refuse to support British society and established British values.
My father was an immigrant.
He became an English teacher and then someone who trained students to become teachers.
He lived the whole of his life on this 'island'.
Was he part of an 'island of strangers'?

@kelvmackenzie I’m not questioning or agreeing with the motivation of the poster, but if it is to exist then I would prefer to see this as focussed as on ‘The Chancellor’ rather than directly on the person by name (especially in the current climate as the incumbent is a woman).
Lovely evening @SportingclubThe awards. Got to spend some time with sir Gareth Edwards and sir Jackie Stewart, they are both so gracious, funny and self-effacing. Note to self I must be a little bit more like my heroes.
I heard this live and thought the same. The reason that working class people buy easy ready meals/ breakfasts is that they are by definition ‘working’, so likely in a hurry, sorting themselves and their kids in the morning and don’t have time to toast f-ing sesame seeds before they leave. And probably unlikely to have tahini and date molasses to hand. Ridiculous.
