As shared publicly on Facebook, the family of the Honourable Murray Sinclar has shared that he is unwell, that he is in serious and unstable condition. -- Asking for prayers from across NDN country, including allies, supporters, friend, and really any life he has touched, which is countless.
He has served us as lawyer, judge, Senator and Chair of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. A lifetime of bringing justice, truth and fairness for Indigenous peoples and those who have suffered in many capacities.
From his rulings, to his day to day wisdom he shares with us on social media, to the power Truth and Reconciliation Commission, he has given over and over again.
Let's pray hard in anyway that you do for him and his family, for this truly wondering human being - Justice, Judge, Senator - the honourable Murray Sinclair.

Yesterday's BC Election remains to close to call for several ridings and the overall balance of power, but I decided to do a quick land-vs-people vote animation anyway.
(Cross-posting with one day delay from the other site where the air is cleaner and skies are bluer.)
6 worshipers gunned down in a Quebec City Mosque.
20 kids and 6 teachers slaughtered at Sandy Hook.
49 people slain at a gay nightclub in Orlando.
Families devastated.
John Rustad’s candidate says it’s fake.
Tell us again John, where your line in the sand is.
Just FYI, this is not possible unless BC abandoned the tax collection agreement with Ottawa, since BC must use the federal definition of income and can't just change stuff like this.
I know no one likes a nerdy tax scold.
But I don't like election promises made of fairy dust.
I’m freaked out by politicians who think they know better than experts, especially health experts.
Remember when Donald Trump thought it would be “interesting” to see if injecting bleach would knock out the virus that causes Covid?
That’s why, under the Public Health Act in BC, the Provincial Health Officer provides INDEPENDENT advice to the government. The PHO is appointed by BC’s Lieutenant Governor, and is not employed by a political party.
👆 IT’S AN IMPORTANT CHAIN OF COMMAND TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC’S HEALTH
This morning, PHO Dr. Bonnie Henry provided INDEPENDENT advice to the government, recommending BC explore access to non-prescribed alternatives to toxic drugs.
And (though I wish they’d have taken her advice and at least look into it) the Minister of Mental Health & Addictions said (I’m paraphrasing): “thanks for your advice, but we’re not gonna go that route.”
Which is how policy in a properly functioning democracy should work
👏👏👏
Meanwhile, @Conservative_BC immediately showed us how they will approach public health in BC if elected. It’s giving major “let’s inject bleach” vibes 😱
MLA @ElenoreSturko told CBC that Dr. Henry’s recommendations “are dangerous” and called for her to be fired.
You know what’s actually dangerous Elenore? Since you never mention it, I can’t tell if you understand the crisis we’re in, but … the unregulated & toxic drug supply that’s killing 6 people a day.
THAT’S DANGEROUS‼️
👉 So is a would-be government that threatens to fire experts for giving expert advice 👈

The reviews of the Premiers’ committee appearances are in:
“parade of nonsense”
“completely dishonest about the cost”
“ignoring rebates”
“fantasy” alternatives and the kicker, “bankrupt positions.”
