@wholuvscosmic This 1942 launch's apogee is unconfirmed, but the V-2 definitely reached space. The first living creatures to reach space were fruit flies aboard a U.S. launched V-2 in 1947 (apogee 109 Km, above the Kármán line). They survived reentry. First mammal: a monkey (U.S., 1949, fatal).
