I cannot stress enough how much this truly means to me and the community we've built up over the years.
I love you all so much and appreciate all that you've done for and with me.
More big things to come๐ฉท
I love dead by daylight and it has given me so much, but for the love of god, please stop playing it incessantly for hours on end if it isn't your job. There is more to life than getting a 4k or escaping a trial, especially in a non-skill based game with no competitive mode. Death is not an escape, and neither is Dead by Daylight.
I'm about lost, you talk about low tiers and S tiers and balance as though you want to see a constriction of power. But then the very next second you want more chaos and silly combos...Those two are sort of at odds with one another.
Any player vs player game will eventually, given enough time, develop a meta. If people want to win, they will gravitate towards meta builds. I'm not sure why you expect the players in DBD to be any different. Nerf those perks and they will just run the next best perks.
If you wanna win games, run better perks or killers. If you wanna run wacky combos, then do that, but don't expect your opponent to do the same
Survivors adapt to a growing trend by bringing in perks to counter said trend.
Counter is successful. Complaining ensues.
You're not getting punished. You only win when the survivor's portraits on the left turn into skulls.
I had 4 on the floor. Two of them weren't the strongest in chase and would go down in sub 30. Why am I getting punished instead of rewarded for winning chase after chase just bc they slapped on FOUR of the SAME perk. All my pressure just gone because they decided to stack 4 UBs
Yes that is ONE example of a perk(s) that don't always require much input skill but that's such a specific example. What about every other perk in the game? It's funny how you and others seem to only point to SB as of late.
Killer also has some very low effort perks as well. DBD can be played with little effort, who knew?
Even in an asymmetrical game? How do you figure that works exactly. Thats like me saying i want it to be even and take away the killer's unique power cause survivors dont have one. It's not even.
Part of skill on the survivor side IS perk choice. Figuring out the best perks to run in various metas. Choosing when to use perks at specific points in the game. Knowing what boundaries they can push based on their perks.
Perks don't just play the game for you, they require input, timing, and forethought.
@Mr_Zantastic Sorry, the insistence on using hyperbolic language over and over killed it for me some time ago im afraid.
My bias is just that of someone who wants to have normal conversation. If that's bias, then sure w/e
It's also a YOU issue that again is self inflicted. I actually don't know what you actually mean cause between all this back and forth you have yet to just say what you mean....Maybe you can't idk.
How did you so easily prove my point? Instead of speaking like a gremlin and making it other people's issue, just speak intellectually holy shit
I'm not hung up, im bored and exhausted trying to engage with ppl such as yourself who use nothing but hyperbole. It comes off as disingenuous. I can't take you seriously when it's all i see. And others feel the same. All i was getting at.
SB and SB + pre running should and will exist so long as certain hyper mobile killers exist. So long as some killer powers can shutdown a majority of pallets denying even the 50/50. Welcome to DBD.
And you're not bringing forth the topic in a meaningful way that matches what you say you want to see from game changes.
We live in a clickbaity world where ppl throw around words they hear their fav CCs use cause they know it'll farm engagement. It's not worth the effort to try and have a real convo with you and others when every back and forth starts with "well you see it was an exaggeration. What i really wanna see is....". You're just wasting everyone's time.
Say what you mean and what you want. Then have a good faith convo about it. Unless you just wanna rage bait, WHICH IS FINE!
Correct everyone has opinions BUT if you truly want the game to be better, then why do you always use hyperbolic language?
Some of your tweets and replies are quite self-defeating.
You claim to want a better DBD but package everything in such silly hyperbolic buzz words.
You say one thing but the way you tweet comes off as "baity"
Is that your goal? Do you just use specific language, that you then have to clarify or walk back, just to farm clicks?
@Mr_Zantastic I don't mean this as disrespect but you JUST started playing your first handful of surv games. I'm just trying to understand why people and players should find validity in your idea of game health.
@Mr_Zantastic just find it odd you speak on how the game SHOULD be when it's BHVr's project. It's as though you're speaking for BHVr...I'm just confused.
It's an asymmetrical game, you don't have to equalize both sides by saying each surv build should essentially be 1/4 the killers.
