People accept the inevitability of aging and a slow dramatic end.

The aged accept and embrace death as a get out card (from bodies that were once great but have turned against them).

Therefore, to the majority, it is inconceivable to want to live longer as it translate to a long tail of suffering.

Stated conversely, . . .

1. If you gave all 70- to 100-year olds bodies and mental vitalities of their 20-somethings and 30-somethings (without loss of thier life-long knowledge and skills),

2. If you assured them of zero declines for the following 50 to 100 years, and

3. If you sked them if they still wanted to exit, . . .

Yhooooo! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I am convinced they would choose healthy vibrant life for the next 100 years!

I finished it in one run. Nevetheless, I do go through the same go-down-rabbit-hole reading experience/processed.

It makes reading exciting but time challenging. The reading approach and experience is one of full engagement and being instantly inspired (set off) to imagine, to assess the information, sometimes to challenge statement in short or deep thought experiments, a screenplay starts uncoiling and scripting itself, etc.

Time then flies past a bit faster. 😊

Let me help paint a vivid picture. If you read Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins, you will grasp it.

We have trillions of cells in our bodies. They are driven by the one need--to survive, indefinitely.

Every single cell in the male body gets the same message of happiness when a mate is seen. His naked lady is like pure ecstasy itself to each of the cells.

They start singing in unison.

Just like a crowd in a stadium at a peak of excitement, when their team is having their way with the visiting losing team.

You know very well the effect a stadium of fans singing in unison has on the players. Now, . . . that is a crowd of 15,000 or maybe 35,000 or (maximum) 120,000 voices.

Imagine trillions! 🤯

Just their beautiful humming will make you smile like an idiot! 🤭

Exactly what happens to a man seeing his partner like that. He will say yes to any request she makes.

It's the power of trillions of voice in saying one thing in perfect unison. "Life. Life. We live. We live. . . . "

Yes, our cells do not know we are sophisticated entities. This trillion strong crowd of cells behaves the same a single cell - they want life, to live.
