The city of Tshwane is using its own water tankers to respond to the Bronkhorspruit water issue. This is a move that was made by the ActionSA mayor Dr.Nasiphi Moya to buy the city its own water tankers. This move has saved the city from issuing out tenders whenever theres a need.
I spent the morning in Cullinan, Region 5, at the City of Tshwane’s hydrant filling stations for water tankers. This is the area that tankers are designated to collect water and transport it communities that have been impacted by the Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Plant water issue.
These hydrant filling stations aren’t supplied through the Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Plant. My oversight visit today is focused on tracking the value chain of compliance with the delivery of water to communities. @CityTshwane
