Patriotism is the exact opposite of nationalism. Nationalism is a betrayal of patriotism. By putting our own interests first, with no regard for others, we erase the very thing that a nation holds dearest, and the thing that keeps it alive: its moral values~EM

3. The GNU agreement will include a constitutional amendment to avoid elections for 7 years on the grounds of focusing on the economy. They will invite various “stakeholders” (make that steakholders) including civil society & churches to make it look inclusive. A political fraud
Unfortunately folks will rewrite history and fail to be accountable for the issues we are witnessing today. Over the years, people rose through the ranks of MDC through stepping on others and smearing genuine cadres until the bulk of them chose to walk away and live their lives away from the toxicity of the "struggle". By the time we got to the GNU a lot of genuine cadres who had given their all were cleared.
Most of them became academics or left for the Diaspora. The gaps they left were filled by untested people - some good, some horrible. By the time we got to 2018, most of the cdes I had worked with since 2001 were on the sidelines which meant the base of MDC-18 was relatively a coalition of the old-of-2008 and the post-2013 crop with different views on how the struggle is executed.
The Khupe incident remains a very bad chapter in MDC's history. It set a very bad base for the MDC-2018. But again, it was an opportunity not only for NC but for a lot of pple to rise on the back of stepping on other people or outmanouvering others.
Again, when Mwonzora left (Which I still think was avoidable if egos were not the primary factor) it was an opportunity for people to rise. All this meant, the opportunities fell on untested people most of whom were mere opportunists with little commitment to the real struggle for change.
By 2022, the mantra was - The NEW! CCC was born. The pre-2018 MDC remnants existed mostly at the benevolence of NC. There was a new crop. A crop that generally had no understanding of the historical non-commercial execution of the struggle. The struggle shifted from being radically ideological to purely theological. The struggle lost its bearings!
By the time Tshabangu erupted, there was really nothing to defend in CCC. There were no stockholders. CCC had sympathisers not members. Most of those who viewed themselves as stakeholders were folks born and bred in environments that believe God will intervene, all they needed to do is kneel/pamabvi/emadolweni.
The crew that were deployed in councils and parliament via berekamwana, most of them had zero history in the previous struggles that actually had a resistance factor in them. It was an opportunity for survival. They had no issue licking the side where their bread is buttered.
So, what have we learnt?
- History is more important than today
- Until the stomach is challenged, the heart remains a mystery
- There is a reason the body does not kill normal bacteria (flora) in the gut or vagina
- Prayer must not get in the way of swords, they can co-exist but each knowing their purpose.

Today in 1945, George Orwell published a devastating critique of Communism.
Animal Farm reveals why every communist revolution follows the same tragic pattern: liberation to corruption to oppression.
Here are 10 truths from Animal Farm Orwell warned us never to forget 🧵👇🏼
When Turkey's courts ban Erdogan's frontrunning Presidential opponent, the liberal mind rebels and rejects forthwith Erdogan's argument that the law is the law. When France's courts do they same, the liberal mind rejoices & parrots the law is the law. Mind-boggling hypocrisy!
#LetFreedomSing How do you know that international double standards run deep ?See how different any two situations of gross serious human rights violations , aggression, and atrocities are addressed ( i.e., censure versus celebration) . It's geopolitical interests stupid !

Can flu cause death?
What we just hear of is Peter died of flu, but was it really flu?
So, usually the body fights off the infection but in some cases the body finds it hard to fight off the infection on itself potentially leading to serious complications then death especially in people at high risk:
●pregnant women
●children under 5 years of age
●older people, >65
●individuals with long term medical conditions (such as heart problem, diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, HIV)
●individuals on steroids
●receiving cancer treatment
So the answer flu may not primarily cause death, but the complications does in the above groups of people if they don't seek medical attention early. The recommendation therefore is that they seek medical care on day 1 of onset of symptoms.
#LetFreedomSing Never hold power like broken pieces of precious glass or very hot milk/water in a glass without handles that is difficult to carry, let alone to hand-over to someone else.
Always hold power lightly like a mug or gourd of drink designed for communal sharing
Now it's very possible to live with someone HIV positive when you are negative and you remain HIV negative and have HIV negative children. The name is, discordant couple.
All it takes is one pill a day, same time everyday, on the HIV-positive partner's side.
Use of cooking oil for treatment of colds, colic pain linked to rise in Lipoid Pneumonia in Zimbabwean Babies
Zimbabwe’s renowned Cardiothoratic surgeon, Dr Wilfred Muteweye has raised alarm over the growing number of babies developing Lipoid pneumonia, HealthTimes has learnt.
Lipoid pneumonia is an inflammatory lung condition caused by aspiration of oils. In Zimbabwe, however, parents administer or give their infants cooking oil as a home remedy to help with colic pain relief and colds.
Speaking to this publication in an Interview, Dr Muteweye said the damage caused by cooking oil and at times anointing oil is difficult to treat.
"Lipoid pneumonia has been noted to be on the increase in the paediatric population in Zimbabwe,” said Dr Muteweye.
The main cause according to Dr Muteweye is the exposure of the children to cooking due to some reasons which include Oil being erroneously given by parents to treat abdominal colic and oil given for treatment of constipation. Other reasons include traditional medicine practitioners who also prescribe it and churches who also give it as anointing oil.
“The mothers then either spray it into the nostrils or give it orally. Unlike in adults, infants can have oropharyngeal discoordination which causes the oil to go into the airway. In addition, infants can suffer from gastroesophageal reflux disorder (up to 70% of them), which can result in aspiration of swallowed oil,” added Dr Muteweye.
Lipoid pneumonia symptoms can vary significantly among individuals, ranging from asymptomatic to severe, life-threatening diseases.
“Unfortunately, the lungs cannot break down the oil. The oil causes inflammatory reactions which damage the lungs. The resultant damage is very difficult to treat and can result in death. The best way to manage the condition is to stop giving oil to children. There is a need to change our cultural practices and discourage the giving of oil,” said Dr Muteweye
