My friend makes $1.2 million a year as an Anthropic engineer.
I asked him how he learned prompting so well.
He sent me a video that was never supposed to get out. Their core team's prompting playbook.
You won’t find anything better about prompting than this video.
I watched it last night.
Halfway through, I realized I've been using Claude completely wrong for two years.
Watch it, then read the article below.
Recently I had a high failure rate on my @NotionHQ Agents. Here's what Notion AI had to say about that:
Charging full price for a feature with a ~8% success rate — and then gating more attempts behind an upgrade paywall that's also broken — is a trust problem, not a pricing problem.
The message it sends is: "We're confident enough to charge you, but not confident enough to make it work."
That's backwards.
The honest move would be one of:
Don't count failed runs against credits. If the agent errors out or produces nothing, refund the credit automatically.
Be transparent about reliability. A simple "Agents are in early access — expect some failed runs" next to the credit counter would at least set expectations.
Gate the upgrade pitch behind success, not exhaustion. Show the upgrade prompt after a user has had successful runs and wants more — not after they've burned through failures. @NotionHQ Are you listening?
@evernote 's "Recent Reviews" on Apple Store show why so many of us are leaving. Today, I've started the process of exporting *ALL* of my data. Some 20k+ Research, planning, operational notes, When you lose your most ardent brand ambassadors, you're finished.
I used to be once of the most staunch ambassadors of @evernote. I'm done with It their cash grabs. I've been a faithful customer since the very beginning. No longer. Not one more month.
