BTTN’s Winter Internship Program Concludes

The Balochistan Think Tank Network (BTTN) formally concluded its Winter Internship Program on 16 December 2025, marking the successful completion of a rigorous six-week engagement by the outgoing batch of interns.

During the program, interns participated in a structured series of lectures and interactive sessions covering a wide range of subjects, including International Relations, Research Methodology, Regional Stability and Deterrence, Arms Control, Geopolitics, and broader strategic issues. The program was designed to strengthen analytical thinking, research skills, and policy-oriented understanding among participants.

In addition to academic training, interns were actively encouraged to develop and publish opinion pieces, enabling them to engage with a broader audience and contribute to contemporary policy and strategic debates.

The Internship Program aims to facilitate a smooth transition from academic learning to professional practice for fresh graduates. Throughout the program, the interns demonstrated professionalism, intellectual curiosity, and capabilities beyond expectations.

BTTN extends its warm farewell to the outgoing winter batch and expresses confidence that the knowledge and skills gained during this six-week program will serve as a strong foundation for their future academic and professional endeavors.

BTTN Director of Research, Dr. Siraj Bashir Baloch, also an author of a chapter in the book, provided his appraisal of the book. He highlighted that Balochistan is rich in mineral resources which can be a source of prosperity for the province and its people; however, he noted that the potential in mines and minerals are yet to be harnessed to their full capacity. He also noted that if the natural resources in Balochistan are rightly utilized, which are still largely untapped, they can transform the province's and the country's economy positively.
