Madeline and I started training for our first 5K together! She loves stroller runs now but adding the race day atmosphere and sheโll go crazy. Seeing the other runners and people cheering the runners on will be a great experience for her! #nikerunclub#nike+ #jog#jogger#run
@texasrunnerDFW Yes, you did! I think we also need to realize there's a real shaming of folks who do not own a home. Especially in Texas. I hear it all the time. "Yeah owning a home is expensive but it's yours along with the generational equitity." They never talk about loan amortization.
Your daily 2-mile jog around the block matters just as much as someone's marathon training.
Real runners come in all speeds, shapes, and styles.
Your journey belongs to you.
I've become convinced that as far as taxes go, sales tax is the best kind of tax.
If given a choice, I'd take a huge sales tax on everything and no income or property tax before any other tax configuration.
This is because income tax punishes productive behavior, and property tax punishes homeowners who care for their house and their town to increase its value. Both are necessary to life; taxing them builds resentment and incentivizes non-productive actions.
Tax at the point of sale is a "choose your own adventure game" for tax burden. Self-sufficient, miserly types can largely evade it; spendthrifts who blow money like there's no tomorrow pick up the real tab. A moral society would reward the former and punish the latter.
@RobSteven855174@ILoveBlueBell That's why I always take the containers from the back, not front. That whole licking situation has me scared to grab the ones in the front. I just love BlueBell so much that I'll chance it.
@TrevorLeeGaming I'm sorry for your loss! Too many young people are passing away. I had an ex pass away two months. Not even 40. It's tough. Let me know if you need anything.
Reminds of a classmate who wrote their TASS essay about the underground railroad being under her parents' home. She knew since train tracks and old lamps were under their home that she definitely seen it for herself. When we could talk afterwards is when she found out what it was
@TrevorLeeGaming I feel bad for him! It wasn't him going after the predator that got him into trouble. It was accidentally shooting the predator's dad while trying to shoot the predator. He was given some limited clemency in the form of 5 years with 3 served but 20 yrs was on the table.
