C. G. Musa is a perfect example of the saying, “Be careful what you wish for.”

In the wake of October 24, 2025, when C. G. Musa was relieved of his position as Minister of Defence alongside other service chiefs, many Nigerians felt he had been unjustly removed when he still have much to offer.

So, what did Nigerians do?

Nigerians clamoured for his return as Minister of Defence.

They believed he had an unfinished job to finally free this country from the insecurity that has continued to ravage the country.

Nigerians believed some of his polished speeches that circulated online.

They believed he was the man who could make the difference.

Eventually, Nigerians got what they wanted.

He was returned as Minister of Defence.

But guess who became a full-fledged politician thereafter?

C. G. Musa.

When APC held its national convention, he was almost sleeping at the convention venue, deeply involved in organising the event.

Today, he is the Secretary I of the APC Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election.

A country battling insecurity on an almost daily basis, with a Minister of Defence who should arguably be at the centre of coordinating the fight against insecurity and giving strategic direction, yet the same minister is now heavily involved in a presidential campaign council.

Pathetic!

Sometimes, life really teaches us the hard lesson:

Be careful what you wish for.

I have just read that Tinubu’s government is spending N1.34 billion on scholarships for 254 students in Baze University, a school owned and managed by Datti Baba-Ahmed, Peter Obi’s former VP candidate.

Already, proof has emerged that the first tranche, ₦673,849,864.55, totalling 50% of the scholarships, has been released to the school.

I'm curious and want to ask: are there no students studying in any of the 74 federal universities in Nigeria who deserve the so-called scholarships, which amount to ₦5.31 million per (beneficiary) student?

Secondly, what criteria qualified only Baze University to benefit exclusively from the scholarship ahead of other private schools in Nigeria?

Thirdly, considering the recent smear campaigns by Datti Baba-Ahmed and his elder brother, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, against Peter Obi, Tinubu’s strongest opposition, is this so-called scholarship awarded to their school by Tinubu’s government a genuine educational incentive or a mere political reward?

Nigerians deserve answers.✍️

I just saw this VIDEO of the Oyo school children and head teacher being moved out after they were rescued.

A few things I saw in the video made me curious and agitated. First, the head teacher asked the soldiers about her car.

She and the kids had just been freed from the daredevil kidnappers. How convenient was it for her to think first about her car, immediately after she was released?

Considering but not conceding that she had a car and went to school with it on the day she was kidnapped, the soldiers were not at the scene at the time of the kidnapping. Why then is she asking for her car from the soldiers?

Again, the soldiers responded to her with strong assurance that she'd get her car. Considering the soldiers’ response, I want to ask, was she promised a car? If yes, for what reason? Is it as compensation for the tortious ordeal or what?

Second, I cringed at what one of the soldiers told the school children in the video. He said, “Thank the GCO.” These are pupils who had just been rescued from the torment of kidnappers.

Yet, they are being ordered to “thank” the so-called GCO. Shouldn't it be the other way round - the government should be pleading with the kids for its negligence and slow response to their kidnapping - that it allowed them to suffer for so long in the kidnappers’ den!
