A six-year-old boy was found wandering around NNPC Towers in Abuja.

He had been separated from his family.

Someone found him.

The FCT Police shared his picture and appealed to the public for help.

The next day, they found his grandmother and reunited them.

And I kept thinking about how frightening those hours must have been for everyone involved.

A child who couldn’t find his family.

A family who couldn’t find their child.

And strangers who knew nothing about either of them becoming part of the search.

Maybe sometimes we underestimate what simply paying attention can do.

You notice a lost child.

You make one phone call.

You share one picture.

And somewhere, a family gets their person back.

I wonder how many of us would stop to help if we found a lost child today.
