Spent around $120 on apple ads.
Made back around $20 through conversion and new subs.
Guess what? apple gave me $100 free credits so I’ve just spent $20.
That’s a 1x ROAS🥳
Crazy growth from $80k to $100k/mo
The app literally just removes your TikTok reposts because TikTok made it ridiculously inconvenient to do it in the main app
My current stack for mobile apps:
- Claude Design/Claude Code
- RevenueCat for in-app purchases
- Amplitude for analytics
- Superwall for paywalls
- Railway for backend/push-notifications
- Vercel for landings
What's yours?
I use weekly subscriptions in most cases. And it works really well when the subscription is activated during onboarding
But it doesn’t work as well for high-retention apps, so I add a yearly plan — when people try to cancel, they see the annual option and can switch to it instead
Ok fine…. this is my strange strategy:
Paying for links in YouTube video descriptions for videos that are ranked for my keywords
That’s it
As someone who posts to YouTube regularly I noticed Google is indexing links within my video descriptions
They get listed in AI Overview summaries and the site itself gets indexed quickly thereafter
In some cases I added a description before the link and the AI overview repeated it verbatim
So I’ve since been reaching out to YouTubers and paying for links in their video description
This is cheap because
1) they don’t have to make a new video
2) nobody else is doing it (??!)
Usually the conversation goes like this:
Me: hey I want to pay for a link in the description of your video to my app
Them: you mean make a video about your app?
Me: no, there’s no extra work on your end just a link to my app that’s it
Them: weird, but.. ok
done, it's open source now ✅

lovora is basically a cloned paired🤯
and it might actually beat them at their own game
paired built the niche: couples questions, long distance games, daily connection
lovora present the same things:
- same core loop: questions and games for couples
- same long distance angle
- even the homescreen widget trick, drawings sent straight to your partner's phone
- 3000+ couple questions, just like paired's question decks
paired charges premium, lovora comes in at a fraction of the price for the same job
paired spent years and probably millions teaching the market that this category is worth paying for
lovora just showed up after the idea was proven and undercut the price
