Dear Bybit Team,

Good morning. On behalf of the Nigerian merchant community actively trading on Bybit, we would like to sincerely thank you for the great value you bring through your platform. Your speed, security, and reliability have been a strong support to our business, and we truly appreciate your presence in the Nigerian market.

However, we wish to humbly appeal to you concerning the newly introduced P2P trading fee of 0.25%–0.30%, which is highly unfavorable and will significantly affect our ability to trade profitably.

Our Concern

Most P2P trades are carried out with very narrow margins, most times even incurring losses on trades. With the current proposed rates, even high-volume traders will find it difficult to make any meaningful returns, which risks discouraging participation and reducing overall activity on the platform.

Our Appeal

We kindly appeal that Bybit considers:
1.A lower starting fee rate of 0.05%–0.07% for Block, General, and Verified Advertisers alike.
2.A capped fee of 4 USD per transaction, to ensure that merchants trading in higher volumes are not disproportionately charged.
3.A gradual adjustment of rates over time, rather than a sudden introduction of high fees, so that merchants can adapt without being forced out of the market.

We believe these measures will ensure that both Bybit and its merchants can continue to benefit in a fair and sustainable way. The current rates as proposed are unfavorable to almost all of us, and we fear they will negatively impact liquidity and merchant participation on the platform.

We respectfully urge you to review and revise the fee structure before implementation, so as to preserve and grow the vibrant P2P trading community on Bybit.
