@marty_jenkins_@Tammy1084966044@tvheidihatch The officer was protecting everyone else who attended from hostile behavior. I will defend civility every day of the week.
Again, our exchange here wouldn’t be needed if you took the time to watch the entire video. The council was wrapping business to begin PUBLIC COMMENT
@UMAPGrizzlies@TvilleUT You are writing tripe! “No comments allowed” is a lie. Watch the entirety video and see they were asked to come to the podium for PUBLIC COMMENT, but they were too busy screaming and fighting to hear it! The officer gave them about 5 more warnings than he was required to.
@Tammy1084966044@abc4utah They chose to leave before approaching the podium when they were invited. Granted, they may not have heard the invitation over their own noise. Last time I checked belligerence towards an officer disqualifies you from gentleness.
@Tammy1084966044@tvheidihatch Is that why they expedited their own business to get to public comment as quickly as possible? Or was it when the Chair invited them to the podium to sign in and speak for 3 minutes? Go to a meeting before you write nonsense, people may believe you.
@AllyOoopsy@KUTV2News It’s against the law to 1) prevent public meetings from taking place, 2) to repeatedly disobey an officer. I do think it’s ok they were arrested for this. I encourage you to watch the entirety of the video previous to the meeting exit. They were extremely patient. I ♥️ freedom!
@AllyOoopsy@KUTV2News So we should all talk at once. Excellent idea. Then no one’s 1st Amendment is served.
How does Congress operate with everyone talking at once? Do they have a system of rights that trumps the rules too?
@AllyOoopsy@KUTV2News I take it you haven’t seen the video where the council was attempting to expedite their process to get to public comments - 1st Amendment. They couldn’t get to it faster because their meeting was being screamed through. Rules of Order, not listen to the loudest. 1st A for ALL
@parronsr71@LindsayOnAir Never claimed he broke a law or that I am knowledgeable. It is an attitude of superiority that I was addressing. Declining a demonstration of good faith in public service is something everyone dislikes, including him.
Salt Lake County Clerk Lannie Chapman confirmed with me today that they are investigating after several homes in a Milcreek neighborhood reported missing ballots.
I spoke with three people who woke up last Thursday, the day after ballots arrived, to open and empty mailboxes. All three say their ballots were taken.
At least one of those residents signed up for ballot notifications and knew their ballot had been delivered.
Clerk Chapman told me:
- so far, they've confirmed a handful of people impact
- this was not an issue with the postal office
- likely a crime of opportunity
- they are still working to determine the full scope
The three people I confirmed are on East Elgin Ave. All of their mailboxes are at the end of long driveways, near the street, away from their homes.
Residents with mailboxes right next to their houses did not find their mailboxes tampered with.
It appears that someone took the mail sometime between 5 PM Wed 10/14 and 7:30 AM Thurs 10/15
If you have not received your mail-in ballot yet, contact your county clerk to have that previous ballot nullified and a replacement ballot sent out
@KUTV2News
I feel like Salt Lake City, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, BYU and Provo won HUGE today.
Ryan Smith, Steve Young, Kalani Sitake and Trevor Matich put our Gospel, people and State on display and did it with honor.
I’ve never felt more proud to be a BYU Cougar.
Nothing to see here Utah, just a little help from “we/them” to get those ballots signed. Last I checked a ballot only needs one signature, from one persons conscience. Did this change? @CoalitionUtah@BasedMikeLee@Manhattva
@1_badkarma@Dirtdog My gentleman of a son does all of the above (except Pilates) and at 5’11 has arrived at the girls apt where there’s a marker label at 6’ on the door. He’s a great conversationalist, asks questions, an excellent listener. He gets one sentence answers with no questions in return.
