SIMILARITIES between writers and vampires:

-We sleep all day
-We avoid contact with people
-We rarely leave our homes
-The time we are awake is usually spent eating and brooding
-Even with immortality, we would still procrastinate instead of write

Differences:

-We love garlic

Writing today and eternally grateful that FOR ONCE I did a proper backup save of the manuscript. Original thumb drive corrupted but MAGICALLY I did right yesterday with backup and there is no need for my current meltdown. Panic city here, friends. Panic City.

Today is a build a blanket fort kind of day. I can do my writing there. I can smuggle in a box fan or two. I can fall asleep and nobody will know (until the Mastiff destroys it, which is inevitable).
