Long-term trends in the US are abysmal, many crises that don't get addressed, maintaining the status quo collectively dooms us. Structural change or collapse.
@PrivB4_@TAMMYSZN LOL! So, before him things were good? The disastrous IMF policies, those had nothing to do with Argentina's crisis? Lets just ignore everything that's inconvenient for our worldview.
@TAMMYSZN It's been disastrous for working people, people choose to ignore all the data that isn't convenient, it's somewhat kept afloat thanks largely to IMF, and it's obvious this will collapse like Chile did in the early 80s.
@BryceMLipscomb@JMilei LOL! He's been disastrous for working people and the only thing keeping it somewhat afloat is the IMF. It's 100% certain to collapse, as it did in the early 80s in Chile, and when it does you'll make sure to learn no obvious lessons.
@JNeurvine@TPostMillennial Sorry, are you under the delusion that either of these corrupt, right wing parties have a plan beyond looting and creating propaganda to justify it? Who looks at Trump and sees anything other than a corrupt sociopath that wants to steal as much wealth and power as he can?
@TPostMillennial I mean, he's of course embarrassed for all the wrong reasons and is horrible. Would be nice to live in a world where he and those like him were irreverent enough that no one noticed. The Democrats are horrible too, Newsom sucks, but his troll game on Trump is not their problem.
@marcuslemonis@GDiddy64@BedBathBeyond@FoxNews You claiming it isn't political insults the public's intelligence and this is not going to do anything but make your bad situation worse. I am guessing you expect to be ok individually. Expect a nice golden parachute?
@OliverALarkin Being corrupt, supporting a long list of disastrous neoliberal/right wing policies that have decimated everyone but the wealthy, creating an undemocratic nomination process that does things Democrats would never accept in the general election, despising their own base...
@daveweigel It's a shame he can't justify gaining more power based on good trolling of the moronic president in power instead of offering policies and structural changes that match the scale of the crises we face. Given that we're staring down societal collapse, those things should matter.
@ThirdWayMattB Or, just continue to get money from wealthy people to keep the gravy train going so you can continue to make a lot of money and maintain your social status. Nothing else matters to you vacuous sociopaths.
@ThirdWayMattB Maybe just go the fuck away. You neoliberals have nothing to offer the non-wealthy, you don't propose any actual solutions to the many crises we face (many of which people like you caused). You have failed enough, done enough damage. Piss off. Let us clean up your mess.
@curaffairs Exactly. If he was clever while pushing for single payer or social housing, great. He doesn't deserve power 50 years into the neoliberal era, after Trump's destruction, in a country with many crises and abysmal long term trends because he does a good job trolling Trump.
@AnnieForTruth It's as dumb and unserious as many of the MAGA types supporting Trump because he "triggers the libs". Not good housing or healthcare policies, not policies and systems to avoid ecological collapse, let's vote for the best troll.
@AnnieForTruth to give him power based on Tweets or whatever demonstrates how unserious we are about turning anything around or getting power with a clear plan to address the many crises we face. It's hard to have hope when the modern Democratic Party is the opposition.
@DEhnts It's fascinating watching China become the world's economic superpower doing the opposite on almost every level on stuff like this, while the US implodes from decades of disastrous capitalist destruction/ corruption, and those in power could care less. The US is going to collapse
@ProudSocialist How do we avoid a discussion on who or what owns these companies and technology? If this is capitalism and how it us going to use technology (a large share of which was developed in the public sector), what's the logic to keep the capitalist system? What does it offer?
