people are getting blackmailed over their Instagram accounts
someone sent 25+ fake copyright claims using 15 different emails, got the victim's account suspended, then started demanding money to unban the account
and there's no way to reach a real person at Meta. they made the support fully AI, appeals are ignored and victims either have to pay the guy or hope they somehow get noticed
this is becoming a serious problem. Meta needs to add a way for people to contact actual support before more creators lose everything
It’s been over a month since a scammer took down my post and demanded $10,000, and @instagram STILL hasn't restored my content. 🤦♂️
Their automated system literally accepted a fake strike from a misspelled email ("[email protected]"). My 14.2M page @lolita is being held hostage by bots and zero humans are reviewing the extortion proof.
