I’d just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as VS Code, is in fact, VS Code + Extensions, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, VS Code plus Extensions. VS Code is not a complete development environment unto itself, but rather another component of a fully functional programming toolkit made useful by the VS Code extensions, language support, and debugging tools comprising a full IDE as recognized by developers.

Many programmers use a version of VS Code every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of VS Code which is widely used today is often just called VS Code, and many of its users are not aware that it is essentially VS Code plus Extensions, developed by the community and Microsoft.

There really is a VS Code, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the toolkit they use. VS Code is the editor: the program in the toolkit that allows you to write and edit code. The editor is an essential part of a development environment, but not sufficient on its own; it can only function in the context of a complete toolkit when supplemented with extensions. VS Code is normally used in combination with a collection of extensions: the whole setup is basically VS Code with Extensions added, or VS Code + Extensions. All the so-called bare VS Code installations are really installations of VS Code + Extensions!

@nixcraft Turned an ubuntu server into a desktop. Ubuntu server uses netplan. Netplan hardcodes the NIC. Installed a graphics card and the NIC quit working. Removed the graphics card and the NIC started working again. Turns out the NIC's name changed w/ the GPU... Predictable indeed 😅

@barberitos Just like you have a section for "Choice of Hot Toppings" when customizing an entree, I would love to see a section for "Choice of Sauteed Toppings" which lists ingredients available to be sauteed.

@firefox The browser just prompted me for a survey. I completed it, but I felt it treated bookmarks strangely. I often use bookmarks but I never "click" on them, always using the address via "* search term" & arrow down to hit enter on the bookmark I want.
