The usual time of eating dinner in Europe. I remember traveling to Spain as a young kid and my German 6pm meal had to wait until 10pm. It was weird. Source: https://t.co/zDTcX7moR7
This is kind of accurate, though exaggerated, because the average preferred height difference of females is 7 inches and the average preferred height differences of males is 3 inches.
Women biologically select for more patriarchy and men biologically select against it, so you could argue that men are the real feminists.
That said, size difference is not the only determinant of dominance structures. Females can be smaller and still dominant. However, if size dimorphism exceeds 70%, a species will definitely be male dominated.
The 15-20% mass difference that humans have is regularly accompanied by female dominance or egalitarian structure in nature. But as the difference gets larger, the harder it is for females to maintain power.
Female attractiveness preferences thus constitute a sort of tragedy of the commons whereby we select for individual advantage at group expense. Luckily, males select for a smaller height difference.

The new James Bond game from the Hitman team looks great.
After watching the story video, I liked it more than the last few Bond movies. Reviews say it really nails playing as Bond.
And those opening credits, with Lana Del Rey, feel classic Bond

Oh no! Fable is a game changer and the US government seems to agree.
The main issue isn’t even that most of us now lose access to Fable, but that they might block access to all future models in that weight class as well and not just for Anthropic.
This is pretty insane. It's the kind of thing that puts the lie to "Trump is going to let us do whatever we want" from the Andreessens of the world. They might do that, or they might randomly issue orders purporting to shut down an AI model on the basis of nothing.
Hard to believe we went from the optimism of free the nipple to the acceptance that all of our instagrams will be deleted over the course of the rest of the year
What Europe should do right now:
1. Call all the European researchers working on AI and return them back with same salary (or they can stay but switch career).
2. Fill EU places having GPUs with money, and put those people there.
3. AI partnerships with China + India.
In light of the Arch Linux attack, here is my thread where I explain that protecting against supply-chain attacks is not just about enabling cooldowns in npm, but about systematically rethinking trust at every layer of your environment.
https://t.co/FmBG02DueG
Supply chain attacks can’t be solved with one silver bullet. They need a systemic approach.
For every dev layer (not just npm, but CI, Docker, and your editor) ask 4 questions:
1. How can we reduce dependencies?
2. Isolation
3. Update control
4. Review

Supply-chain attacks are no longer limited to JS and Python. They are now targeting even Arch Linux packages, using the same methods previously seen in the JS ecosystem.
🚨 BREAKING: More than 400 Arch Linux User Repository packages have been compromised with infostealer malware and a rootkit.
Attacker posed as a trusted maintainer and "adopted" orphaned packages.
Arch maintainers are purging infected packages now. Audit your AUR installs.
A “scientific” journal called Rubbish has launched in China, allowing stressed-out young scientists to submit humorous papers, such as "How should Optimus Prime be insured—as a car or as a person?"
