@simonjm28@NavyLookout No, particularly when you take into account the number of costly F35B's need to have same strike effect as much cheaper conventional carrier a/c of which there a are a fair few options.
Still maybe it doesn't matter if focus on drones.
I keep hearing people tell me how expensive space is. How its such a frivolous waste. Its utter nonsense.
SLS/Orion is basically the most expensive rocket currently flying, and even using that as a yardstick, the UK government throws money away at a far larger scale.
Just look
@MerrynSW Perhaps you should also quote "Garbage in, Garbage out".
AI gives the most likely correct answer given what it knows.
I wouldn't buy an AI calculator, I'd prefer one that does sums.
The current state of the Royal Navy:
2 aircraft carriers — neither operational.
6 Type 45 destroyers (our most powerful warships) — one operational (in Cyprus).
7 Type 23 frigates (less powerful, much older) — three operational
5 Astute class nuke-powered subs — one operational (in Arabian Sea?).
Surely those responsible for this appalling state of unreadiness (a national embarrassment if ever there was one)— political, civilian and military — should be fired/charged.
Their incompetence has effectively left us without a navy.
Quite an achievement for an ancient island nation.
@BAES_Maritime Well done, but frankly not very reassuring, its a minor system. How does your CE summarise overall progress for the board.
Customer only measures pounds spent🤣.
