It’s that time of the year again.. Crawfish SZN! We’re hosting our 5th annual Crawfish Boil on Saturday April 27th from 11am-4pm! We’ll have live music as we try to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital! Hit up your favorite TKE for tickets!

Big things happened this weekend for some BX Alum across the world! On Friday, Mark and Dan reached the summit of Kilimanjaro at 19,341 and in total hiked for a total 15 hours (8.3 miles) that cold day and Sunday they made a soft trek of 7.5 miles on their way to base.

Day 5, Thursday Feb 28th, Dan and
Mark crossed a desolate scree slope with no vegetation. It was a tough steep climb made more difficult by the altitude. They arrived at Barafu Camp at 15,223 feet elevation. They had an early dinner for a early climb at midnight!

Mt. Kilimanjaro for St. Jude
Day 3: Dan and Mark are now hiking on high moorland, the landscape changes the entire character of the trek. They traversed the southwest side of Kilimanjaro passing under the Lava Tower to reach the Barranco Camp at 12,992 feet elevation.

We received a SAT phone call from Frater Mike Yoder that his camp has arrived at Shira Plateau!

"Day 2, Monday, Feb 25th, we are continuing to climb up and out of the forest. We reached a steep ascent onto the Shira Plateau, where we can now see the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro.”
