Word of every Christmas Day, even this one, is the beautiful ‘confelicity’: joy in the happiness of others.
I hope you get to feel some confelicity today, if only from afar.
Merry Christmas.
I don’t think cancelling Christmas is the answer to 2020, rather we need to reimagine it. The truth is there are children and adults who will not see another Christmas. We all deserve a day of comfort and celebration, but a safe one. Christmas can be quiet and still magical.
We caught up with Sive Brassil, one of Ireland's elite modern pentathletes.
Brassil brought us through her journey to date, inspiring the next generation as well as her aspirations to qualify for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

It feels like it’s only getting worse. It also feels like women are sick and tired of trying to solve what is a male problem of male sexual misconduct, male sexual violence and male sexual entitlement. We’re suffering. Do something, men.
Delighted to be continuing with the “Dare to Believe” schools programme. Thank you to @fbd_ie and @TeamIreland for giving me the chance to inspire (and be inspired by) the next generation! 🙏🇮🇪🤩
Bone health is crucial for everyone. Some athletes appear to be more susceptible to bone injuries and we are looking to investigate if dietary aspects like lower carbohydrate intakes are linked. If you (or athletes who know) had 10mins to complete this https://t.co/WErxvwxnI7
Very disgusted & disappointed to see that @wbpictures new kids movie ‘The Witches’ decided to portray limb differences as something to be scared off.
This limb difference is very common.
There are kids all over the world who are going to see this movie & see this as negative😔
NEW WORLD RECORD!
Uganda’s @joshuacheptege1 runs 26:11.02 to break Kenenisa Bekele’s 26:17.53 men’s 10,000m world record!
And you bet he stopped his GPS watch for the Strava upload later.
