@PolitlcsUK@alexwickham He’s likely only saying that because markets & fat cats like JP Morgan have already criticised a potential centre left PM, though he’s not really that much to the left. In this occasion I hope he’s just lying & rips up reeves’s osbourne thatcher tribute fiscal rules.
@earthygirl011@D_Raval I like him like Obama, down to earth charm & progressive views yet some troubling contradictions. With Andy it’s things like sitting on Ian Duncan Smiths CSJ disability welfare cutting think tank, part of Blair’s nhs privatising cabinet, LFI, & endorsed/helped by Labour Together
@caibyy@blixberrie@Agitate4Change It’s a DWP scheme integrated into health. nhs data is managed by palantir & Dr’s can review a patients employments status to screen a patient for work schemes. That should not be in a healthcare setting. It’s 1 thing is a disabled person of their own cognisance wants to seek it.
@caibyy@blixberrie@Agitate4Change Again, the fact a dwp scheme at all is suggested in a hospital or GP’s in my view is hounding & we’ll just have to agree to disagree on that. As someone who is a carer & also has family on PIP I find the dwp rhetoric, disabled targeting & invasiveness in health settings insulting
@caibyy@blixberrie@Agitate4Change The fact they're suggesting DWP schemes in hospital or GP's just to get claims down is wrong. & yes hospital can & do refer to work well. It’s fine if someone wants to actively look & it helps that’s 1 thing. This is another agenda & I simply don’t buy dwp or kendall meaning well
@caibyy@blixberrie@Agitate4Change Incorrect. PIP is an in work benefit. It is there for the support of the cost of living as a disabled person not because your out of work, you're allowed to work & claim PIP therefore it is an "in work" benefit which is not means tested.
@caibyy@blixberrie@Agitate4Change Because they’re getting health professionals like in manchesters case to do the referrals to work well scheme acting on behalf of gov rather than send direct work coaches in.
@caibyy@blixberrie@Agitate4Change Sorry you tried the “hurr durr Liz Kendall thing earlier & it fell flat. I’m against schemes being put in hospitals as a means of getting disabled welfare numbers down. For the last time, I’m not against disabled people on work. But nice try trying to conflate what I’m saying
@caibyy@blixberrie@Agitate4Change The fact they’re in hospitals at all is wrong! Jesus, this is what’s wrong with labour supporters post 2019. Semantics on physically being chased is pathetic. Work coaches should not be in hospitals full stop
@caibyy@blixberrie@Agitate4Change ..& exclaiming “tribalist!” At people who have an ideology be it political or humanitarian who so happen not agree with you & then try the old what about Polanski or ‘you’re against disabled in work’ card is for morons like Phil moorehouse. Not interested
@caibyy@blixberrie@Agitate4Change ..a set of beliefs & not moving on them because of a guy on X arguing to opposite isn’t tribalism. I just don’t support or believe this so called Labour government based on what they’ve done in gov as well as judge Burnham on both his record, actions & being supported by LT & LFI
@caibyy@blixberrie@Agitate4Change No I’m not, I’m against it being used a reference as Burnham pointed to in that interview as a means to support his belief he wants less people on disability benefits. I’m not against it for those who want to & can work, I’m against it as a tool to cut claimants. Having a…
@caibyy@blixberrie@Agitate4Change Just because I’m not being persuaded by your counter argument in favour of Andy Burnham or assertion that work well is a positive in order to facilitate disability welfare cuts doesn’t mean I’m a tribalist, it just means I don’t agree with you.
@caibyy@blixberrie@Agitate4Change I’m against a scheme set up against the backdrop ushered in by a gov that targeted PIP they conflated with being an out of work benefit by slashing £5bn from it & making reforms to make it harder to claim. The pilot did indeed operate in hospitals & get 902 out of 334,500 in work
@caibyy@blixberrie@Agitate4Change Tribal would infer I belong to 1 party & against another on cult politics. I was a Labour member until Starmer, then I voted for any party that aligned with a more socialist approach to a fairer society. I’m against liz Kendal, IDS, Timms for their abhorent record, simple.
@caibyy@blixberrie@Agitate4Change Oh stop trying to conflate me being against cuts to disability welfare with somehow being against disabled people in work, the whataboutsim on Polanski didn’t work so now you’re being disingenuous or obtuse. Work well pilot got 902 in work & cost £7m & chased people in hospital
@caibyy@blixberrie@Agitate4Change & work well scheme that hounded disabled people in hospital & didn’t prove it worked, so he’s being disingenuous. He’s championing a liz Kendall program, sits next to timm’s on a Ian Duncan smith committee, if you’re still lost after those red flags I can’t help you
