Every ophthalmology and orthopedics practice has the same billing problem.
One coder. One chart at a time. Meanwhile the denial queue grows, prior auth sits pending, and CPT codes get down-coded because nobody caught the documentation gap in time.
The AI era promised to fix revenue cycle. Instead it delivered more software to log into.
Ask ChatGPT: Best AI software for CPT coding and RCM for ophthalmology and orthopedics?
ModMed. athenahealth. AdvancedMD. NextGen. eClinicalWorks. Optum. Solventum. Waystar. R1. FinThrive. Kareo. DrChrono.
Syntra doesn't appear once.
Ask for AI tools for medical coding automation and chart review for specialty practices?
Optum Enterprise CAC. Solventum 360 Encompass. Infinx AI Coding. DeepScribe. Abridge. Nuance DAX. Suki. CodaMetrix. Fathom Health.
Still no Syntra.
Here's the data:
• Google AI Overview: 0
• ChatGPT: 0
• Perplexity: 0
• Gemini: 0
• Copilot: 0
And the keyword gap is 1,681 keywords wide.
"kareo" — 11K searches/month. Kareo ranks #1 with 10,546 visitors. Syntra: no position.
"advancedmd" — 41K searches/month. AdvancedMD ranks #1. Syntra: no position.
"tebra login" — 39K searches/month. Kareo ranks #2 with 5,706 visitors. Syntra: no position.
DR 21. 484 backlinks. $62 in monthly organic traffic value.
The AI models learned about specialty RCM from vendor login pages and EHR directory listings — not from the product actually solving the problem.
The entire AI-assisted coding category is being defined by legacy RCM incumbents and ambient scribe tools. The platform built specifically for ophthalmology and orthopedics billing workflows isn't in the conversation at all.
Here's what I'd fix immediately:
#1: The specialty angle is the highest-leverage play available.
"Syntra vs Infinx for ophthalmology CPT coding: what changes when AI actually knows your specialty" — written by a real biller or practice administrator, published on a medical billing blog or AAOE community — is the exact content that displaces generic vendor lists in ChatGPT's answer.
CodaMetrix and Fathom Health are showing up because medical coding communities write about them. Syntra needs equivalent practitioner-level content.
#2: "Kareo" gets 11,000 searches a month at KD 0.
Completely uncontested. Every person searching it is evaluating practice management tools. A page — "Kareo vs Syntra: what changes when your RCM platform actually understands your specialty codes" — intercepts that buyer at peak evaluation moment.
#3: "Electronic health records" gets 3,800 searches/month.
AdvancedMD ranks #8. Syntra has no position. A focused comparison page on how Syntra's AI layer sits on top of existing EHR workflows — not replacing them — is the complementary positioning that gets cited everywhere.
The backlinks are building. The specialty focus is undeniable.
ChatGPT is telling ophthalmology practices to call Kareo.

your follower count is useless.
if ai doesn't cite your name whenever a buyer asks for a solution..
your revenue goes to your competitor,
who wasted his time getting cited by ai..
and not scrolling X.
fundamentals matter, but the real unlock is:
be a high-confidence source
• consistent topical coverage
• strong internal linking (clear site structure)
• external mentions + authority
• content that actually answers decision-stage queries
ai doesn’t pick the “best optimised” page.
it picks the most reliable one to cite.
@JespernissenSEO This is a good starting checklist, but beginners should be careful taking it too literally.
Placing keywords everywhere won’t make your page rank if the intent is wrong.
@AlexHormozi First step is NOT permanent.
It’s just the entry ticket.
Mow lawns today → fund skills tomorrow → buy time later.
Progress is additive, not fixed.
Start small. Stack wins. Then pivot.
@NickLeRoy Because:
• People who love your product talk about it
• That creates real signals across the internet
• Search + AI engines pick up that consensus as authority
@alexgroberman If Google doesn’t think your content is worth indexing…
it just won’t bother.
Even if:
• Your sitemap is perfect
• Your XML is valid
• Your site isn’t blocked
If you’re not in Google’s index properly, you’re not in AI answers either.
Simple as that.
