EA Sports College Football 27 has fallen to a “Mostly Negative” rating on Steam after players noticed that microtransactions were added to Dynasty and Road to Glory.

Players can now spend real money to buy XP and level up their coach or player faster, with many fans saying the game progression feels slower now unless you pay.

Players have also pointed out that College Football 26 let you earn XP boosts just by playing, but those rewards are gone in College Football 27 and have been replaced with paid XP packs.
