They scream “CULT!” at us every single day.

Trump voters? Cult. MAGA? Cult. Anyone who dares question their sacred narratives? Dangerous cultist.

But look closer. Look with clear eyes.

The real cult isn’t on the right.

It’s the one staring back at them in the mirror: the modern political Left.

A cult demands absolute loyalty to a messianic figure or idea. The Left deified Obama...Hope, Change, the Lightbringer...then transferred that reverence to an ever-shifting pantheon of victims and causes.

Today it’s “The Science™,” tomorrow it’s the next moral panic.

Question any of it and you’re not just wrong; you’re evil.

Heretic.

A cult isolates its members from dissenting information.

The Left built the walls themselves: curated feeds, deplatforming, “fact-checking” that only checks one side, media outlets that read from the same script. Step outside the approved sources and you’re “consuming disinformation.”

Family members who vote differently are “lost.” Friends are cut off for wrongthink.

This is textbook cult isolation.

A cult polices language and thought.

The Left invented the ever-mutating lexicon...words that become slurs overnight, pronouns that must be recited on command, land acknowledgments as loyalty oaths.

Deviate and the mob descends. Cancel culture isn’t accountability; it’s ritual shunning, excommunication without appeal.

A cult requires public displays of devotion.

See the yard signs, the pronouns in bios, the black squares, the masks long after the mandates ended...virtue signals as membership badges. Participation is mandatory.

Silence is violence, remember?

A cult uses fear to control.

The world is always ending: climate, democracy, “hate.” Every disagreement is existential threat. Every election is the last election. The followers live in a state of perpetual crisis that only total obedience can avert.

Sound familiar?

Psychologically, it’s classic high-control group behavior: induced dependency, identity fusion, thought-terminating clichés (“That’s racist,” “Transphobe,” “Denier”).

Dissent creates cognitive dissonance, so the group purges the dissenter to restore harmony. The Left doesn’t debate; it diagnoses.

You’re not mistaken...you’re mentally ill, morally defective, in need of re-education.

Historically, this is how every secular cult operates when it replaces religion with politics.

Jonestown didn’t start with Kool-Aid; it started with “progressive” utopian promises and absolute loyalty to the leader.

The Left’s promises are just as utopian...equity, sustainability, justice...and their demands for conformity just as total.

They call us the cult because projection is the oldest trick in their book. Accuse the enemy of what you yourself are doing. It distracts from the mirror.

We on the right argue, bicker, primary our own, abandon leaders the moment they fail us. We’re a movement, not a monolith.

They march in lockstep, eyes glazed, chanting the approved slogans, ready to destroy anyone who breaks formation.

That’s not a political party.

That’s a cult.

And they’re in too deep to ever admit it.
