@TyrannosurusRex “Heavy diplomatic defeat” is a very subjective statement. Turkey’s loss of strategic leverage and isolation from America and the F-35 program is entirely of its own making. Nor Greece or Israel have anything to do with it. We just want Turkey continue making the same mistakes
@TurkishCentury Hard to believe President Sisi will ever forget Turkish meddling in domestic Egyptian affairs and Turkish interference in Libya - But hey, enjoy the ottoman cool-aid 😎
@ictinus_x Well said. Consistency matters. Turkey invaded and occupied part of Cyprus and the EU has learnt to play nice with this aggressor, why not play nice with Russia also ?
@SireneOznur@elonmusk@nikitabier You and the others mentioned, intentionally stir up controversy, waiting for the inevitable backlash and then claim you’re a victim. I’m sure @elonmusk can see through your scam
@MarioNawfal Europe will need a multi layered defence system. It will need core infrastructure like missile defence, logistics and surveillance. It will need a concept of front line states subsidised by the EU and first responders like France, Germany, Italy and Poland
@GulsunarEng But it does affect the EU. Putin, Xi and the rest of the authoritarian’s are watching Turkey very closely to see just how far they can revision Europe and its interests
If Greece falls so does Europe
@ictinus_x Erdogan is tying his hands and those that will follow him with this legislation. It’s just one more impediment to EU trade and military security in a very uncertain time. The Turkish economy and geopolitics are now its weak points as alliances develop to counter this revisionism
@RichOutzen Interesting take but I don’t agree. Turkish regional revisionism runs parallel to Russia’s and Trump’s. Ankara cannot normalise an aggressive foreign policy against Greece, Cyprus and Israel with the EU and expect the benefits of trade and security. Turkey is soon to be alone

@TurkishCentury Notice how the Turkish blue homeland map is getting smaller and smaller without Italy, Egypt soon to Libya. Even ole mate Jolani is snubbing the turks
@ibrahimkaragul So Libya and Egypt are ready to sign EEZ zone agreements with Greece and Cyprus - Lebanon and Israel have signed with Cyprus - Jolani’s Syria won’t dare sign with Turkey. Basically Turkey is isolated 🤷♂️ and sulking with this Legislation
