I’m biased because I conducted this interview but it’s a fantastic piece. Amazing to hear about a start up CDMO embedding sustainability from day one. How many CDMOs do you hear about doing their own composting?
Many of us have climate anxiety – which is why we were delighted to interview @HannsMahler on why #sustainability is at the heart of #pharma CDMO ten23 health. The company even has its own composting ☑️♻️

This morning I’ve spoken about biological APIs, translational science, supply chains in pharma, sustainability and more. I’ve also been given coffee, a ham sandwich & chocolate. No time for the games though at #cphi unfortunately!
Day 2 at #CPhI in Barcelona. Fantastic to be here with the @medicine_maker team meeting lots of new and existing clients
I also met an elephant with butterfly ears
Day 2 at #cphi in Barcelona. Meet the Actylis team at booth #5E39 (Hall 5) and stop by the restaurant area between halls 2 & 3 to take a picture with our Butterphant 🐘 🦋
Busy day of meetings so far at #cphi but it was awesome to be able to take a break playing this game at the @sterling_pharma booth. I am a “Lab Genius”!
To boast - I did achieve a hole in one at the golf competition but sadly I’m (obviously!) not eligible for the prize! Drop in at hall 8 for your chance to win! #cphi#weloveminigolf
Our team is ready for day 1 at #CPHI in Barcelona! 🚀
Don't forget that you can be in with the chance of winning €50 if you take part in our golf competition!

First day at #cphi was jam packed with meetings. One recurring topic is sustainability. It’s great to FINALLY see the pharma industry & it’s suppliers taking action here! I’ve been hearing about new techniques & processes - and even on-site beehives
It makes one wonder about how many scientific discoveries have just been swept aside. I think there is much the scientific community needs to discuss. But for now – huge congratulations to Karikó&Weissman. Thank you for persevering! & thank you for my COVID-19 vaccine!
When researching this news piece covering Katalin Karikó&Drew Weissman I didn’t expect to be as moved as I am. The lack of early support for Karikó and Weissman’s work is disappointing – & it’s especially grueling to read about Karikó's experience. https://t.co/GMK81iqWZ6
I am delighted to see @Kiranshaw on the @medicine_maker#powerlist! I was honoured to have the opportunity to interview her a few years ago for an article. She has a fascinating career and story. https://t.co/zRRgP8ro6K
Will be interesting to see whether Germany will persist in advising against giving the @AstraZeneca vaccine to over 65s despite the all-clear in this age group from @EMA_News.
Spending on prescription drugs rose by 6.3 percent annually under Trump compared to a 5.5 percent rate under Obama. And prescription drug prices in the US rose during the Trump presidency by 5.9 percent from December 2016 to December 2019.
Four years ago in a cover story for Time magazine, President Trump said, “I’m going to bring down drug prices." How did that pan out? And what about Biden? https://t.co/adRmfxjcFc
The WHO has released recommendations for the #Pfizer#Covid_19 vaccine. Agency recommends 2nd dose should be given up to a max of 6 weeks after 1st dose. Yet some countries still want to leave a 12 week gap between doses https://t.co/fKzikwaWtc
President-elect Joe Biden appoints Rick Bright, former @BARDA director, to his #COVID19 taskforce.
We spoke with @RickABright earlier this year about improving drug development and his career's most defining moments. https://t.co/dk0RXJ1NVA
📢Check out EMA's update on treatments and vaccines against #COVID19 under development.
#FactsMatter: At this point, no medicine has yet demonstrated efficacy in treating COVID-19, but we are in contact with many developers.

ATTENTION ALL YOU COOL SCIENTISTS STUCK AT HOME PRETENDING TO READ PAPERS.
How about having a Zoom meeting with my 10th grade chemistry students?
This has been a great way for us to humanize science for kids in the past and you can do it right from your couch!
The collaborative force of academia working with the pharma industry deserves a lot of credit for how oncology therapy has progressed, but there is considerable scope for improvement.
