And no, the standards of the FAA have not been lowered for the sake of DEI. In fact, they were made much stricter after the last major fatal crash in 2009. 1500 hour minimums for ATP certification.

It’s the FAA and if you pass the checkride you pass the checkride. You can’t just hire whoever you want, the pilot has to meet the standards.
