Our responders are en route to a sunken tug north of Lopez Island. The bridge is still visible, and we do not currently have reports of a spill. Estimated 400 gallons of diesel onboard.

#Update #AleutianIsle Dive crews completed clearance of entanglement hazards, cutting away all free-floating net from the vessel & securing all remaining net & entanglements to vessel. Divers started rigging ops. Once completed, next phase will be raising the vessel.

#Update #AleutianIsle (1/2) Photos from wreck site: Divers cut away netting from vessel to locate fuel vents and prevent vessel entanglement during the scheduled recovery operation. They also located 4 valves and secured them, including valves for waste oil and hydraulic fluid.

Forecast is for island temps in the 80's this week, keeping us out of the Heat Advisory zone (whew!). Still plenty warm though. As always, keep an eye on anyone especially vulnerable, and if the health and welfare of you or someone you know is ever in danger, call 911 for help.
