Please explain to me how a flat, "frozen" lawn causes this 2 inch laceration to the back of John O'Keefe's head. This is from a blunt, lateral object, such as a stair, a weight bench, a bat, or a pipe. There is no way "frozen" grass would cause such a laceration.
