@_FromTheIsland To me, it still is coattail riding. It’s lazy gameplay. Safe gameplay. And then what irks me is they go out there and claim they made all these planned moves and that it was all part of their strategy when we can see it was really just coattail riding. Ugh.
@BradBaumgarten@FSKPart3 I agree, if that were still the focus of the show, kids could learn a lot. I get the stress gets emotions to rise in the players. That’s okay, but now they go on & on about their hardships instead of working it out in gameplay-it gets old. Mostly, they just sit around yapping.
@FSKPart3 Yeah, this sort of grosses me out. Jeff is losing touch with the mission of what the show began as. I know to stay relevant you gotta change with the times, but I don’t see how targeting pre-teens for Survivor is a mature idea. Let children be children.
@survivormothers Yep, being convincing is part of it. But we see and hear her own contradictions, like for example her saying in final vote that she’s worked on honing herself and her gameplay over the yrs, but to me I watched the same Aubrey play S50 as all the other seasons. Riding coattails.
@TheBigBroTea 48 & 49 were by far the most pathetic and disappointing seasons I’ve watched, and I’ve seen every single one.
From players that didn’t understand the game, to woefully unprepared, to crying all the time, to totally undeserved wins. I wondered if the producers just gave up.
@PhonyReality New era game play is weak at best, but if I had to pick between these two it would be Kyle. He just seems better at managing his strategy. Dee gets too emotionally charged basing decisions on emotion.
@PhxGOP@TheBigBroTea I’m afraid you are right. I’ve always loved Ozzy as a player. But his greatest mistake was confiding all his game strategy in Aubrey, and worse trusting her. He can’t read people. That’s his issue.
@DrStanleyLjcs@melbrown00 Well, see that as you may, to me he comes off as a silly non- strategist. He comes up with nothing unless someone provokes him or makes suggestions he doesn’t agree with. Otherwise there is nothing proactive. That’s why he’s been in the middle the whole game.
@DrStanleyLjcs@melbrown00 That wasn’t game play IMO, it was just silliness. Which is what Devens is all about. Silliness. Not real strategy, always late to the party, last minute plans, shooting from the hip, etc —you get the idea. He’s not strategic, he can’t win immunity, his social game is silliness.
@Spin_1221@melbrown00 You must not be paying attention. Cirie strategically manages all the moving parts of every player. She is the most strategic and social player of all time.
@melbrown00 If Aubrey or Rizzo wins, I will never watch the show again. And I’ve never once missed a season from the start. Neither of them deserve it. And the “outlast, outwit, outplay” motto has slowly been eroding on the show over the past few years, especially in seasons 48 & 49, ugh!
@TheBigBroTea Aubrey is one of my least favorite players so I hope not. She rides the waves. If Devens is working in her favor she’s loving him, if he’s not, she’s distancing. She’s loyal to no one but herself. She’ll stab a loyal player in the back for no reason, just bc someone told her too.
