@misfitpatriot_@BMeiselas The jump in blue votes isn’t fraud; it’s fear of Trump. This year will look similar, with an added push from fear of Vance, and an edge from desire to see this country finally have a woman in the Oval Office.
@TheOnlyEsta Yes. I will vote for whoever the DNC nominates. The GOP had their chance, and they stuck with Trump. I’m voting blue, because anything else is a vote for Trump, and I wouldn’t vote for him if you held a gun to my head.
@GeorgeTakei To EM and those like him, “civilization” means the capitalist economic system that made him a billionaire. If we decrease our population, that system will probably collapse. The world is currently divided between people who think that would be a catastrophe, and people who don’t.
@thoughtbelow@Grubhub@BravoTV Hope those weren’t scheduled hours… they had to pay me the guaranteed $10/hour for scheduled blocks three days in a row, so now they’ve restricted my access to scheduling, even though I’m a premier driver.
@JessicaMic1987@Grubhub_Care I’m a premier driver, and they just restricted my access to scheduling, saying I abused the hourly guarantee system, without citing any specific instance of abuse. It’s been hella slow, so they’ve had to pay out most days this week, but that’s what the guarantee is for, right?
@couchpotato5a@TravisLeeTucke1@CalltoActivism Episcopalian = Catholic Lite: all the ceremony, with only half the guilt! At least, that’s what I heard from the Episcopal priest who was my castmate in a local production of The Laramie Project.
@eightzerotwoo@EdKrassen@KatrinaPierson Sorry, but some women are born without a uterus. They do usually have a vagina, though. They don’t generally have a penis. They have vulvae and a clitoris. It’s definitely possible to tell them apart.
@sailsandsea@EdKrassen@KatrinaPierson Did you notice this issue popped up just in time to drown out and wash away the “Me Too” movement? It really is an attack on feminism. I’ve never had a problem with trans women as individuals, but the current political movement is something entirely different: wave v. tsunami.
@scarlettmb @longshotauthor Have you read “The Law?” There’s also a short story in an anthology, and of course the Christmas present Jim gave us before the last two novels were released. And more novels to come.
@BardicGeek @longshotauthor I hope I’ll be around… my mom lived to 73, and I’m turning 53 in a few months. I really want to read all of the Dresden Files before I die.
@stratton_dave @FrolickinGadfly @tribelaw They probably aren’t. That photo has probably been flipped on the vertical axis, so that would be her right hand.
