@Helenas_world@ripx4nutmeg Not all women are comfortable breastfeeding in public. Breastfeeding can be difficult to establish, painful and messy. Seeking help with that in a private group is part of building the skills and confidence to feed discreetly in public.
@Mr_Andrew_Fox It's not new, unfortunately. The IRA were heavily financed and supported by ignorant people in the US who claimed Irish heritage (despite being in the US for generations) and turned a blind eye to the deaths and destruction.
@amayadeakins @jk_rowling There is no other reason, or justification, for using women's facilities if you're not female other than validation of your identity.
Unless you are there for nefarious purposes, and/or are someone who gets off on making women uncomfortable, of course...
@amayadeakins @jk_rowling If you choose to use women's facilities you are doing so for validation only. You are validating yourself by entering, and by showing anyone who sees, and doesn't challenge you, that you "belong" there, you are seeking their validation too.
@fharris2011 My Dad pays higher rate tax on his public sector pension. He keeps sending me memes about pensioners freezing to death - never heard a political peep from him when the Tories were in charge!
@SoniaPoulton She had surgery, like I did, for cancer in-situ that, to date, hasn't spread or recurred. The fact she chose not to have "belt and braces" treatment to make sure (if she was even offered it, I wasn't) doesn't make her a hero.
@Robertpwest@Mehphistoh@realMattToomer@Tanni_GT Many people requiring assistance would find it difficult to "rock up" at a particular location in a station. They may need help to get around the station and onto the concourse as well as on and off the platform and train.
@DrFrancesRyan I suspect his colleague Melanie Reid will qualify for PIP but I doubt he thought to check. He clearly has an issue with neurodivergence/ mental health and hasn't bothered to educate himself since his last tirade https://t.co/S901dG1CJm
@thetimes columnist @MatthewParris3 wrote on Saturday that he didn't believe ADHD exists and that autism is over diagnosed. Here's today's letters lead in The Times. Matthew has now had multiple invitations to meet families. For journalism to prevail I hope he accepts.
@ProfLAppleby@NCISH_UK Interesting. Now if these risk factors could be taken into consideration when patients and families are begging for help and being told none is available, we would have a chance to avert more tragedies. That and more mental health beds of course.
@lanaisabanana@salltweets@BBCWomansHour@Emmabarnett We do know the medical details because World Athletics made specific rules only for athletes with 46 XY 5-ARD, which apply to Caster. That and the interview where Caster admitted to having internal testes and no uterus.

Terrorists are cowardly, evil @#ยฃ%s but they come in all faiths, ideologies and nationalities.
@Bob132721882139 @HankRacette@MForstater@TheSun Why pretend you know what you're talking about?
All athletes are subject to regular no-notice testing year round as well as before and during the Olympics, it's a condition of qualification. The top 3-5 finishers plus at least 2 random athletes from every event are tested.
@Shereste@salltweets CAIS individuals have functioning testes and circulating testosterone, they just lack the receptors to make use of it so their bodies do not virilise.
Despite this they are usually taller than average women and overrepresented in elite female sports so there is an advantage.
@grumpypostie@EDIQuestions@MForstater@TheSun No one's suggesting this is about "trans cheats", it's a DSD/male puberty issue same as Semenya. It's wrong of the IOC to put these athletes in this position. They wouldn't be allowed to compete in other events e.g. 800m, the IOC chose not to rule them out of the boxing.
@LizSoylatte12 @gwpurnell @TezzaLap@SVPhillimore If you didn't see the outrage about the rapist *before* the Olympics it's because you weren't looking. The IOC failed in letting him compete and are now failing to protect female boxers from opponents with all the physical advantages afforded by male puberty.
@LizSoylatte12 @gwpurnell @TezzaLap@SVPhillimore A tiny number of babies with XY chromosomes are assumed to be female, because their body looks female or indeterminate. Usually by puberty (or when it doesn't happen) their DSD becomes apparent. If they have testes and male puberty they should not compete in women's sport.
