BANGLADESH 🇧🇩 : The Government must immediately overturn the curfew with a ‘shoot on sight’ order that grants excessive powers to the security forces.

The curfew must be urgently lifted, and all the people detained or arrested solely for exercising their right to protest peacefully should be immediately and unconditionally released.

Defying the curfew, protesters have taken to the streets at several locations in Bangladesh. Eyewitnesses in Dhaka have claimed, 'Military helicopters are patrolling certain areas, and despite the military presence, people are gathering at different locations. There are noises of loud sirens; it's like a civil war situation.' Some television channels operating from Bangladesh are attempting to spread propaganda in favor of Hasina's government, but without much success.

Today the whole country has announced a shutdown by the student society of Bangladesh. The student society has announced closure of all vehicles and shops.
