The wallpaper in question is literally from the original creepypasta image. That’s a real wallpaper brand A24 are claiming as their IP because they used it in a movie decades later
The term "Backrooms" has been applied for a trademark by Gigant Films.
It is unknown if Gigant Films is affiliated with A24, as a hired third-party or otherwise, but this is very concerning. The Backrooms does not belong to either of them.

Backrooms Online, a good friend of mine and a well-known Backrooms news account on here, has had their account taken down after speaking out against A24’s recent actions of taking down anything Backrooms. This is absolutely unacceptable and I am appalled by this. I have no words.
"que isso? copa do mundo com 64 seleções??? vão matar o futebol ctz"
Eu vendo dois argentinos brigando de faca pela carcaça de um rato nas ruas de buenos Aires
Furthermore, here’s what Backrooms’ production designer said about the wallpaper pattern I supplied for the film. It is heavily implied that they found it themselves despite having only messaged me for information. They got literally every detail about the wallpaper incorrect.
I grieve even more for the (other) animals than I do humans because they are totally innocent bystanders to the Climate Collapse that human males have caused. Since humans have proved incapable of rejecting patriarchy & capitalism, human extinction is now inevitable & necessary.
I just found out that it’s not just chevron wallpaper. They are going after “Backrooms” in general.
I was looking for the thread below on reddit and came across another person with an issue. I asked them to post their artwork and they posted the takedown request (no chevrons to be seen).
This is bad. Really bad.
I love the movie so much but seeing this I’ve lost respect for A24. The Backrooms doesn’t belong to anyone and definitely not a film studio.

Crazy how a person scoured the Earth for a real sample of this wallpaper, took a HQ scan, provided it to the production team FOR FREE, for them to trace it and give them zero credit. Then, A24 pretends THEY made it, threatening legal action for using a SIMILAR pattern... no words
Welp, this is it, A24 is now trying to copyright the backrooms. They’re taking down wallpaper designs from redbubble that were made ages before the film came out.
