the two most helpful things have been therapy and gum. chewing gum sends the same signals without all the calories, and therapy has helped me find healthier ways to cope that don’t involve food 🩷 (3/3)
fun fact: part of why eating makes u feel better is due to chewing! the act of chewing sends signals to the brain that ur body is safe. it traces back to our ancestors and survival; eating was a huge vulnerability for them and could only be done when safe from predators. (1/3)
this is a big part of why emotional eating is such an easy cycle to get stuck in! not only is it yummy, but our brain is being told that we are safe and okay! it is NOT bc u are fat and have no control!! as someone who struggled w/ eating as a coping mechanism (2/3)
@S0ulGhoul SWIMMING!! as someone who despises being hot and sweaty for any reason ever, swimming is a lifesaver! it is the only form of exercise i can tolerate in the summer heat
@pinkpilled__ first hand experience, no the scar tissue will not have ink! depending on how deep the cut and ink is, u can still see ink underneath the scar tissue. but no the scar tissue itself does not absorb any of the ink when repairing the skin🩷
